Human!Dean & human!Cas high school au. It's cold (for the first real time this year. Yay.) at my house and I really want ice cream. So have some Destiel fluff. (Because I live vicariously through fictional characters that aren't even mine.)

***Dean's POV***

"I don't wanna go out!" Cas complained after I threw his trench coat at him. "The outside is danger. Not to mention it's raining. The cold November rain..."

"That's the best time for ice cream!" I argued. I had been craving ice cream all day and had finally had enough, I was going to get some. And take my boyfriend with me.

"You're insane."

"Nope. Lots of people like ice cream when it's cold." I pulled on my leather jacket and started lacing up my boots.

"Lots of mental patients." he pulled the Thomas The Train blanket over his head and laid on the couch.

I went and kneeled next to him, laying my head on his arm. I picked lint off of the blanket until he pulled it away from his head. I kissed his nose and said, "please, baby?"

He sighed, "fine. Let's go get your ice cream." He was heading for the door when I held up his converse to him. "I'm too punk rock for shoes."

"It's raining?"

"Well, then again... converse are very punk rock." he came back to put his shoes on.

"You're a dork." I laughed.

"Shh... you love me." He said as we made our way outside. I suggested we walk and he sarcastically laughed at the idea so we climbed into my car. "Do you know why I bought the car, Sully?"

I rolled my eyes. This happened every time I suggested walking somewhere. "No idea."

"To drive it! Y'know on the street? With the honk-honk and the vroom-vroom."

I laughed again and pulled into a parking space at the ice cream place. "Once again: you're a dork."

We ordered our ice cream then sat at a small table. One hand holding the other's and the other hand eating our ice cream.

"Cotton candy?" I joked. "What are you? Twelve?"

"Y'know what? Cotton candy is a classic and nostalgic flavor that can go a long way in making someone happy."

"Shut up, you're like twelve."

"You got mint 'n' chip. That's boring." He waved his spoon at my small bowl of ice cream. "You're just jealous that I have exciting ice cream."

"Wanna talk about classics? This is a classic! Cotton candy is some artificial bright pink and blue bullshit."

We continued our banter until it got a little too loud and a women and her son came up to us and asked if their was a problem. "No," I smiled. "Just arguing over ice cream. Hey, lil' man, what's better: mint 'n' chip or cotton candy?"

"Cotton candy!" He said enthusiastically.

"Point proven," Cas gave a smug little smirk.

"Proves that cotton candy is for kids. He's like six!"

"Six and a half!" The kid added before his mother pulled him out the door.

"Whatever. Fight me." Cas spooned a big bite of ice cream into his mouth then stuck his tongue, stained purple from the ice cream, out at me.

When we got back to my house he flopped against the couch and mutter into the cushion about being a "Cas-sicle." I grabbed my fluffy USC blanket, wrapped it around the two of us, and cuddled close to him on the couch.

"You guys are so sweet together it makes me want to brush my teeth..." I heard Sam mutter as he walked by us.
