Stephen Vincent Strange stood in front of his many shelves of books, in the building of 117A Bleecker Street, which is also known as the New York Sanctum to the other Masters of The Mystic Arts. He has his M.D and Ph.D and is also a powerful sorcerer and Master of the Mystic Arts. Originally a brilliant yet arrogant neurosurgeon, Strange got into a car accident, resulting in his hands becoming crippled. When Western medicine failed him, Strange embarked on a journey that led him to Kamar-Taj where he had made the discovery of magic and alternate dimensions, being trained by the Ancient One. Though focused on healing his hands, Strange learned more of the mystic arts and helped the Masters prevent Kaecilius from merging Earth with their Dark Dimension, but not before witnessing the Ancient One's death.

With the demise of his mentor, Strange became the protector of the New York Sanctum within New York City as well as Earth's protector from any inter-dimensional threats. From his new position, Strange met and aided Thor with locating his father Odin, and after that, there hasn't been any issue. There was a book in his hands, one that he's read multiple times, but he found it a good read, his fingers grazing over the paper as he turned the page, absentmindedly walking away from the shelf and over to one of his arm chairs, sitting down and continuing to read. However, he raised his gaze when the front doors of the building slammed open,

"Strange!" Thor bellowed

Closing the book, Strange stood up from his chair and walked over to the stairs, looking at the God of Thunder,

"I need your help" Thor said "Lady Phantom has been injured in battle, she saved the Man of Iron but she is severely wounded"

"I no longer practice medicine, Thor" Strange replied "you know that"

"Please, Strange" he urged "you must help, she will meet her death if you don't"

Avalon was laying on a medical table, breathing mask over her nose and mouth as Elijah worked to extract the bullet from her right side. Dr. Strange was standing next to Elijah, telling him what to do, the medic never having the opportunity to remove a bullet from one of his fallen friends,

"Now, as soon as the bullet it out, we may have to open her up to locate the source of the bleeding" Strange informed "why couldn't you just take her to a hospital?" earning a small sigh from the man standing next to him

"Avalon isn't a normal kid" Elijah said "she's one of Shield's most wanted criminals. If we took her to a hospital, then Everett Ross would have caught wind of her in seconds. She'd be taken to the most secure facility in the world, her father would mostly likely be executed, and anyone in association with her would also be locked up for life. I have the bullet"

As gently as he could, Elijah pulled out the bullet from Avalon's side, which also caused blood to start gushing out, Strange instantly coming in with a suction tube, the medic dropping the slug in a small metal plate, landing with a small clang.

"Now to locate the bleeding" Strange said "grab the scalpel"

"What's taking so long?" Bucky asked no one in particular "they've been in there for seven hours and twenty three minutes"

"You did all that in your head?" Pietro asked, earning a glare from Bucky

In return, Pietro raised his hands slightly in surrender, walking over to his sister and leaning back against the wall next to her. To say Bucky was a nervous wreck was an understatement of the year, he wanted an update on his daughter every thirty minutes, and no one would tell him anything. It hurt Steve to see his best friend like that, not knowing what was going on and not being able to comprehend the fact that she tackled Stark to the floor and took the bullet. And while on the topic of Stark, he hasn't said a word since they all arrived back at the Avengers Tower, staring at the blood that lay on his hands, still in shock that Phantom, the daughter of The Winter Soldier and the most brutal and elite killer of Hydra, had taken a bullet for him. His gaze rose from his hands, looking over at The Winter Soldier, who had his head in his hands with his elbows on his knees, knowing he was worried for his daughter.
