Chapter twelve

T H I R D P ER S O N

Three years later...

"Ashley, pinapatawag ka ni Ma'am Drea" Ashley immediately look at her co-employee, Shahina. Itinigil niya ang kaniyang ginagawa at tumayo upang puntahan ang kanilang employer na si Ma'am Clara. "Okay, thank you" sagot niya.

Pagdating niya sa opisina ng kaniyang boss, ay agad na iniabot ni Drea sa kaniya ang isang folder.

She carefully opened it and saw that it was a folder containing different new designs of their clothing company.

"What would I do with this, Ma'am? " magalang na tanong niya. Clara Drea Mejia raised her eyebrow at her before she sat at her chair.

"You read that one and help Miss Degado to choose designs for our new model. I need you to be with her, Miss Safari." nanlaki ang kaniyang mga mata sa narinig.

"But Ma'am, I'm from the accounting department. I don't think I should do this job. I am not one of the designers"

"Do I look like I care, Miss Safari?  I'll increase your pay for three months if you'll cooperate with this."

Wala nang nagawa si Ashley 'kundi ang tumango na lamang. Her boss is a bitch, her words are the law of this company.

"Yes Ma'am. I'll immediately talk with Miss Degado."

"Better."

Agad nang umalis si Ashley sa opisina ni Drea at napabuntong hininga na lamang. Minsan talaga ay nahihirapan narin siyang pakisamahan ang kanilang boss pero wala siyang magawa.

She doesn't know what to do when she'll loose this job. She only have this. Lahat ng mga gamit niya ay hindi sa kaniya dahil bigay lamang ng kaniyang mga magulang. Maliban na lamang sa kaniyang bagong patayong bahay.

She wanted to have something as her own. She bought her new house using her own money. Ayaw na niyang umasa sa mga magulang o kapatid. All her life, she bought all her things using other's money.

She have been so dependent. Kaya nga ng mawala ang isang bagay na nakasanayan niya ay nahirapan siyang makapag-adjust.

Napayuko si Ashley nang may maalala. She suddenly remember how she had been so dependent of Tan and when he leave her, everything changed.

Come on, Ash. Get yourself together. It was your fault why he left you. Bulong niya sa sarili.

Magtatlong taon na noong umalis si Tan. She never saw him again. Ang huling kita niya sa dating kaibigan ay noong nasa coffee shop sila. Napanood din niya si Tan noon sa isang movie kasama ang bagong leading lady na si Yca.

After that, wala na siyang balita pa sa binata. Hindi na rin kasi siya nakakapanood ng telebisyon dahil masiyado siyang busy sa kaniyang trabaho.

All she knows is that Tan Macario and Yca Salcedo is now one of the most popular love team in the Philippines. They stayed in abroad for three years and they will go back here again soon for a movie... again.

"Ashley? Okay ka lang? You look sad? " she smiled at Freah Degado, the head designer of Mejia Clothing company. "I am fine, Freah. I just remembered something. Thank you"

Tumango sa kaniya si Freah. Ngayon kasi ay kasama niya ito sa opisina nito para pag-usapan ang bagong trabaho niya. Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin niya alam kung anong meron at isinama siya ni Ma'am Drea sa pag-aayos nito.

This job is actually Freah's team's job. It's not her job. Accountant siya at hindi designer.

"Anyway, we now have the schedule na kailangan nating sundin. Bukas, imi-meet na natin ang mga models to inform them about the designs they will wear. After three days, we'll start the photo shoot."

Napatango siya. They are taking it so fast. Naisip niya bigla.

"Pero the photo shoot will take time. Busy kasi ang models natin at isiningit lang talaga itong photo shoot sa schedules nila. So we still need to work with it at hindi ka muna makakabalik sa accounting department."

Nangunot ang noo ni Ashley. Hindi naman sa ayaw niya itong trabahong ibinigay sa kaniya. But her passion is really with numbers. She's good at it kaya Accountant siya ngayon.

"Okay. But how about my job in accounting dep? Who's doing it right now? "

"Don't worry about it, Ash. Shera is doing it, she's good at that. Anyway, these are the models."

Ipinakita sa kaniya ni Freah ang mga model na magsusuot ng design ng kompanya nila. Kahit hindi siya nanunuod ay alam niyang sikat ang mga artistang nakuha. Nagulat pa nga siya nang makilala ang isa, it was Angela, her friend.

Pero natigilan siya nang makita ang isang pamilyar na mukha. His smiles, it feels so warm. Seeing this warm smile after three years , she can feel how heart tights.

I miss this, she said in her low voice.

But what pains her was how the man who used to give her that smile shows it to the woman besides him. It was Theodore Antonio Macario with his leading lady or she might be his girlfriend now, Brillian Yca Salcedo.
