It's weird not waking up to the sound of footsteps that belong to my beautiful mother, hurrying to get me up and dressed to make my rounds. Instead, I awake to the sound of the bickering of the weirdly dress Miko and the Half-Breed that thinks about things in the same perspective as me. I lay there debating whether to stay and soak in the freedom and warmth I received the day before. Or should I get up and work on the main reason that I am here. Balancing the two options out, I ended up outside.
I take in the toasty feel of the sun's rays. Maybe being here I can finally get that tan I wanted. I would really bring out the eye color I am to inherit when my abilities kick in. I beam at that thought. Finding motivation to start today's training, I seek out Kaede to ask about the routine I have to endure today. I walked around the village, greeting people as I go. I don't have a problem with speaking first since this what my life has been since I learned to talk. I wore one of my daily kimonos.
I put my hair in a low ponytail signal people in my kingdom that I am soon to be in charge. It might seem stupid since I am far away, but I do it so I remember what I am here for. I get there in time for breakfast, and boy did it smell good. I nodded to everyone there, getting smiles in return. I walked and took a seat between Sango and Shippo. We enjoyed the warm stew, as well as the comfortable silence that has fallen upon us. It was way to soon to speak. A huge thump was heard from outside. That's when we see Kagome stomp in and sat down. Clearly annoyed with the person she was arguing with. I sort of had an idea to who it was. I soon see a pouty Inuyasha walk in and settled in the corner of the room. I send him a smile to reassure him that the future still isn't here and that he shouldn't worry about anything yet. He catches my eye and nods but doesn't respond. I turn and decided to make things less tense by asking some smooth questions.
"Hey Kaede, I was wondering what am I going to do today?" She smiled as she was waiting for me to say just that."Well, I was thinking that ye should use this day to get to know everyone a bit better. Seeing that ye will be living here for quite a while." I said yes and turned to the rest of the group. I quirked my eyebrow, asking how is this to be done. Sango then stands up, setting to walk to me and links her arm through mine.
"I want to start this introduction." She leads me out and turns until we arrive by a pond. She slides her feet into the water and looks at me." Come on, It isn't that cold."
Once she said that I moved to sit beside her and mimic her movements."Well (Y/n), tell me your story." Just like that, she demands information from me? I looked at her and laughed. A puzzling expression takes over on her face."Why are you laughing?" That only makes me increase my volume. "Why are you not? Sango, I don't know you that well yet. Here let me try. How are you doing this fine morning Sango?" She caught on a bit to what I am trying to teach her. "I am doing fine. What about you?" I smiled and answered in my sweet voice I had developed for these types of situations. "I am doing great. Wanting to see what today brings gets me all happy." She relaxes."Like what things are you looking for?" I applaud her.
"Good. You getting the hang of this. I was hoping to get to know all about everyone. I also want to get training to get the power my father wants me to get. Then I'll be able to protect my kingdom the easy way."
And that's how it kept going. I told her about my life back at the castle, the people I held dearly to my heart, and the promises I made to them. She then in return told me about her life as a demon slayer, how it is hard than it is. The way she lost her family to the demon named Naraku. Tears fell from her eyes like rain. She buried her face in her hands trying not to seem weak. I reached out to pat her on her shoulder when I felt a tingling feeling in my fingers. When I finally rested my palm on her, that's when something slipped in me. I felt sad and depressing. I was so much it brought me to tears. I turned to Sango seeing that she had stopped crying and instead of seeing a somber face, I see a worried one.
