*(Y/n)s Pov*

'Why does it hurt?' The warmth of my blood heated around my wrist. The more I moved the amount of pain increased tenfold, prompting me to stay still. I held my breath just in case it triggered it to tighten.

I opened my left eye to see what was that was halting the flow of red liquid to my fingers. The silver clamps glimmered with the sunlight that slid through the thick water. A purple color consumed my entire hand, the coldness was sinking to the bone. I hissed with the thought of my hand going dead.

"Stop struggling Milady. Just a few more minutes." The gruff voice made my body shiver. No matter how many times he tells me that he is here to help me it doesn't defeat what he has done wrong.

Turning his back on me he shifted his focus back to the orb that contained a visual of the other Angel that helps me. It seems that she is having some trouble now that her opponent obtained his sword. I wished to see him but it blurs. He is being hidden.

'They don't want me to see who it is huh?''

"Aiko is taking a while. He should've been disposed of already." 'Is it the boy Kagome was talking about? Inuyasha?' Deja vu would always follow that name. I couldn't place the way I knew him but I could easily roll the name. He meant something to me, yet I have not one idea how.

"Milady should be feeling the sedate now." On cue, six needles on both cuffs thrust forward to insert in the soft skin around my already aching wrist. Tears well up in my eyes as the pricks turn to flames. After a few moments, I started to feel the weary effects start to consume my being.

Stars twinkle around my muscles, making my body feel light. I began to float to the surface but never breaking through. I was kept at bay with the thick chains. 'He doesn't want me to breathe the air of the world anymore.' Before I could completely become submissive to the sleep that was prying my limbs to give in, I had a memory flash before me.

The boy in red sat close to the edge of the cliff, taking in the breeze that seems to sweep nicely between his silky hair. Ears twitching the moment they pick up my light footsteps. The silver curtain shifts as does his head that held a face that was calm and collected. He let a small smile shine as we made eye contact. "(Y/n)?"

"Inuyas-"

Black swirled, making the image fade from existence.

*Inuyasha's Pov*

"Inuyasha." She let my name fly of her lips that was in a tight line. Shuffling back, I made sure there were meters that distanced us. The way the two females were familiar to each other cause alarms to sound in my head.

"Why are you here Kikyo?" She smiled a bit too wickedly for it to be normal. She began to step forward to close the space I made to keep us apart. "Usually you'd be happy to see me. What's changed?" I could feel a small part of me wish to stop her and tuck her in to save her. The bigger parts yell at me for being so naive for tracking her.

"Do you know her?" I tipped the sword in Angel's direction to indicate my opponent. 'She wouldn't be working for them. Right?' She nodded to Aiko with a knowingly look. In turns, she responded.

"Lady Kikyo did us a huge favor by helping us pull this rescue off." Yes, now it makes sense. The reason is still unknown. Whatever it may be is not worth doing this to (Y/n).

"Inuyasha just give up. She isn't worth the time you're using." Her words were harsh and filled with resent. For who, it would be (Y/n). I took her words in making sure they didn't fall for her familiar voice. She is the past that came back for vengeance. She should be resting. I would deal with revenge.

I know in my heart I had loved her immensely, to the point that she was the thing that kept me stable. When I found out she had died, I felt my heart crumble with so much ache. I didn't know what to do. I just wanted to kill the person who had done her wrong. But I didn't want her to resurface, never did I want her to witness hurt again.

At this moment, right now it hit me. Everything I felt has been said in the past tense. I had let go because she isn't the one that causes my euphoria any longer. My love for her has morphed into something less, into something platonic. She isn't the one I think of every living second that I breathe.

"She is, Kikyo. She is more than worth it. If you could move aside I am going to retrieve her and take her home." She crackled as she moves to stand in front of the path that led to (Y/n). "Ohh yeah? Where's this home you speak of? I hope you're aware that she doesn't belong with you. She has duties to attend, which by the way aren't you."

She meant the venom she threw with the words. She carefully calculated what to say to have me wrapped around her fingers. I would easily fall if she had the face of another. The face that is perfectly crafted by powerful beings. The one that bears no flaw.

'She isn't (Y/n).'

This gave me the courage to push her words out of consideration. I moved to her and lightly held her by her arms. She held a triumph look in her eyes. She leaned up to connect our lips.

She would've succeeded.

"You aren't (Y/n). Move aside so that I can get to her." I weaved around her to get back to my priority. Aiko jumped to action, trying to insert her blade into my back. I quickky swung Tessaiga to contradict her action. One more swing and she was out.

"Lets go. (Y/n) has been waiting for us."
