*Unknown Pov*

"Do you think knocking her out as well, was a good idea?" A higher-pitched voice than my own floats through the air coming my way. 'Ugh, she's here.' I tapped the little human that laid unmoving. Still breathing, muscle laxed, surely he won't be waking up anytime soon. To make sure nothing happens I created transparent slithering snakes that wrapped around the traitor.

"Yes, I wouldn't want any more casualties to occur. She needs the rest anyways." I shift my vision to the maiden that is drifting underneath the water unconsciously. Her glossy face held a scrunch with the conflict that just happened I wouldn't blame her. "Milady needs to sleep to be able to bear the burden. The Earth isn't in a good shape with the shards scattered." My empathy could understand why Kiyoshi did what he did. Having to keep the planet in order was not an easy task. Duty is duty. I can't show any pity nor be lenient.

"Do you think she'll be fine? I mean she is the chosen one out of them all. They wouldn't hurt her right?" 'I hope they don't. Why would they?' I calmed my aura so that the young girl wouldn't worry too much. "I doubt they will. If they do we'll be right there next to support her." It wasn't easy living the life we had. We had lost track of her when the form of her aura was washed away amongst the crowd.

We could've lost our heads for the disappearance of the chosen Goddess. We were lucky enough to have the help of a spiritual seer to find her and call her back. 'Now that we have her we won't let her go again.' Even if it means keeping her in a pond until she's called forward so be it. When it came down to freedom or life the first is the lesser painful out of the two.

"The half-demon is approaching." I had forgotten the interference we had been dealing with having the joy of finding (Y/n) cloud my thoughts. I roam with my eyes to see the man in red running in our direction. 'I see she's knocked out. How useless! I used too much to just have this mission to fail.' "Aiko? Would you mind taking care of them?" She bowed her head in respect, whispering the mantra we had always chanted. "In the name of our Lady (Y/n)." She took off flapping her brilliant white wings as she flew to intersect the unwanted company.

"Now we wait."

*Inuyasha's Pov*

We've been running for what feels like hours upon hours. Passing deep, and largely increasing bodies of water the further we run. Pants leave my mouth faster than I was striving. 'It hurts all over.' Warmblood started to gush out of my wound that was getting infected the more that I carried on. I was confused as to why it hadn't healed with my ability to recuperate and mend. I was feeling more exhausted than I had ever felt before.

"Inuyasha? Hey!" I twisted my neck to get a better view of who was calling out to me. At this point, I couldn't even make out the difference in their voices. I saw a glob of purple run beside me, questioning me, though I couldn't understand it. "Do you.....rest?......longer." 'Rest?' It was probably the only word that stood out to me, hoping that it was in fact an invitation to stop running. I took it by letting my head loll down, my body following suit.

*Miroku's Pov*

"Inuyasha?!" I saw his tall body hit the ground with a hard thump. His eyes were tightly shut, whimpers spilling out of his chest in pain. I rushed to feel his pulse, after finding it I pulled back to inspect his injuries. "What is wrong with him?" I shook my head with fear. "I d-don't know. Surely Kagome didn't do much, expect.." I pulled back the rip that was prominent on his left leg, in order to see what damage was made underneath.

Purplish, rotting skin was sizzling underneath the red cloth. It was spreading fairly quick around his knees and the rest of his thighs. "Quick! Use this," I tore the sleeve of his top to hand it to Sango. "And drip it with water. Hurry!" She ran to the crystal clear pond to dip the cloth in, letting it absorb the cool liquid. When she came back I held it to his forehead. "Rip the other one and do the same. He's burning up." I flipped it to feel the blazing heat that it carried.

"Where do I put this one?" I took it rapidly to clamp it on the infected area. On cue his eyeshot open, in order to see what was causing his even more anguish. Red flecks flickered in his yellow orbs as he began to growl. "Stop!" He yanked his leg from my hold to get away from the two of us.

"Inuyasha! Stop! You're hurt and we just are trying to help you! Get a grip!" My tone increased in order to get through his thick hard-headed skull. Knowing him he probably would reject any help. But this time was different. His eyes stabilized as he shyly nodded. I took it as permission to continue what I was doing. More gently this time around.

The wet rag made contact with his swollen leg, it made him twitch and groan in pain. He didn't complain, he didn't yell like we had expected him to. He squeezed his eyelids strainfully, trying to close out the rest of the world as he went through treatment. 'If you could even call this that.'

*Inuyasha's Pov*

'GOD. That hurts so much!' I feel whines stir up in my chest as I feel the smothering sensation of my burning injury takes ahold of my weak body. 'It must be..'

"Nasty wound you have there! Poison is such a discomfort to anybody. More so to a human body." 'Human body? But I am not...'

My transformation had the worst timing.
