Haley's POV
I was still laying in Shawn's chest, but this time I want completely balling as bad. We still haven't talked about anything, like why I was crying.
"Hey, why don't you tell me what's wrong?" Shawn says pulling me up so I'm looking into his eyes and he runs circles on my back.
"Well for starters i'm sick and I feel like I'm dying then my boss called me and said since I haven't been to work, because I'm sick may I add, that see has to fire me. So now I have no job and it's such a stressful process for me to get a job. Then Rain started coughing up blood and I took him to the vet and they have to do a overnight procedure on him and I'm stressed from that." I said out of breath from ranting so much.
"You shouldn't worry about it Rain's in good hands, and he doctors told you he's gonna be fine. For the job situation, I bet I could help you or maybe you could work at the recording studio I know you like stuff like that." Shawn said trying to soothe me by not rubbing my exposed thigh because all I was wearing is a shirt and soft shorts.
"It's also the fact that not I lost my job and I already know Rain's vet bills are gonna be hella expensive and I don't even have a job right now. Like I have money but I just now have to be very aware of what I spend it on till I can find a job." I said putting my head in my hands.
"Look if you need it I can pay for his vet bills, and like I said maybe tomorrow I can see if they have a spot open at the recording studio." Shawn said pulling me into a hug.
"I can't have you do that, I would feel so bad and guilty." I said into his neck.
"Why don't we both just lay down and watch a movie and pretend none of this is happening okay?" Shawn said now looking at me while I look at his hand on my leg.
"Okay." I said grabbing the remote at the end of my bed and turning on Netflix.
We both laid back down on my pillows on my bed and Shawn was now rubbing my arm while I switched through channels.
"I don't know what to pick" I said tossing the remote next to Shawn.
"Here I'll pick it out" he said grabbing the remote.
I slowly rolled into Shawn's side, now I was facing his chest and his arm was on top of my back.
I slowly started to fall asleep in Shawn's arms until I heard something.
"I'm always gonna protect you, even if we're not dating anymore."
Guys I'm freaking out right now! I get to see Shawn today!!!!
