Overall thoughts:

As much as I enjoyed the plot line and the overall story, there were a lot of confusing sentences throughout the book that was distracting to me as a reader. It is a good book with a story to tell but needs some basic editing. 

Negatives:

-22 for sentence structure *By far the biggest issue*

-8 for grammar 

-5 for general quotations. See notes below. 

-15 for capitalization

-2 for apostrophes

-2 for no italics (every thought must be in quotes or italics)

Positives:

+10 because I like the storyline and tidbits of flashbacks that hint to something more

Notes:

After a person talks, but before the quote ends, you need a comma. You also need a period after the adjective. "Like this," she said as an example. 

Time jumps around a bit and it is kind of confusing. I would suggest either more abrupt transitions or more fluid transitions as right now it seems kind of choppy and confusing. 

You don't buy books at libraries? You borrow them? Sorry, but this kind of bothered me. 

Why don't we hear about the dad? He basically disappears after the hospital. 

A lot of your sentences didn't make sense. I could tell what you were trying to say but they weren't well written at all. I can point out a few in your book if you would like, and suggest changes.
