Sunday morning troy woke up. the first thought in his head, was that Mou still hadnt shown up. After the announcement that his school had cancelled the remaining sports seasons friday, he knew it was only a matter of time before Mou came to give him more bad news. he washed his face with cold water and looked at his disheveled face in the mirror. he sighed and went to the kitchen to look for something to eat. his cabinets and fridge were a bit bare. he had not done any shopping for himself recently. as he looked through his cabinets for food, a loud knock came from his door.
troy was startled and jumped. he hesitated to answer. "its mou" he thought. "he finally found out."
he stood there, looking at the door not knowing if he should answer...
"OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW!" shouted a demanding Boram. she pounded on the door.well it was obvious now it wasn't Mou, but Troy didn't feel any less relief.Boram suddenly and unexpectedly kicked open troys door. Troy stood motionless in his kitchen, as Boram marched inside his apartment. Qri casually walked in after her, looking cool in her sunglasses and chewing gum. the total opposite of the intense Boram bearing down on him.
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Boram shouted as she stomped over to troy.
"uhm... here?" he said timidly as Boram got in his face.
"is your phone broken? disconnected?" she asked standing on her toes pressing even closer.
"no?" troy said avoiding eye contact the best he could. he could feel the hot steam coming from Borams nostrils on his chin.
"so then you are just ignoring everyones calls?" she asked him relentlessly.
"i uhm. well i..." Troy couldn't think of anything to say.
"you just walk out of homeroom suddenly and then this? you had everyone worried. " Boram said almost snarling. Qri snapped a bubble behind her, looking on.
"i just, didn't feel well." Troy said swallowing a lump in his throat.
"we know you're upset about your hockey being cancelled troy." Qri said from behind boram. they both turned to look at her almost shocked she spoke.
"you can talk to me yanno.... or your friends about it." Boram said slapping at his arm.
"i just prefer to deal with things myself and not burden others with my problems." Troy said as Boram backed away from him. Troy sat down at his kitchen table.
"its not a burden its what friends do." Boram said smiling. but then slapping his arm again
"well im sorry i worried you guys i guess." Troy moaned.
"whatever don't apologize to us. apologize to soyeon you dope. she thinks you're avoiding her because of her bad cooking." Boram chuckled.
"i just asked her out and said i liked her cooking, why would she think that?" he said shaking his head.
"oh troy. you have a lot to learn about women." Qri said.
"yea i guess i do." he replied with a drawn out breath. i guess i better give her a call....."
"don't even bother shes not home. we just came from her house." Boram said.
"oh where is she then? " Troy asked
"she just said she had some stuff to do today." Boram shrugged.
"and you guys didn't go with her?" he asked
"we are going out with Eunjung today." qri said, snapping another bubble.
"we have a week off. that means its time to go shopping." boram said pumping her fist.
"shopping huh." troy stopped to think. "this is gona sound odd but, do you mind if i come?"
"troy its gona be a lot of shoes and jewelry and trying on clothes." Boram said not sure if troy knew what he was asking.
"yea and there's no boys allowed in the changing area." Qri smirked.Troys face turned red
"hahaha" he said sarcastically. "its just well, Soyeon has been nice to me lately. i think its time i did something nice for her."
"yea and after this stunt your lucky she isnt running to the muscled embrace of Juns chest." boram snickered.
"for someone who claims to look out for me you sure do love to pick on me." troy moaned.
"yea yea yea. go get ready if you want to come then." boram said. "eunjung will be here soon.troy glared at them. "so you planned this visit from the start then?"
"don't say that like you're surprised." Boram said waving her arms for him to go get readyTroy just shook his head and went to get ready to go with them.
it wasn't long before Eunjung arrived and the 4 of them head off to the mall in town. the 3 girls went off to buy their things, while troy head off on hi sown to look for something for soeyon.Troy thought about what she liked. she liked clothes, but she already had so much. he thought about what she had got him, a nice jacket. something troy needed now that it was colder. so it was a gift that he could use. he remembered Soyeon's coat from their first date. the fancy fur trimmed one. so he was sure Soyeon didn't need a jacket. plus a jacket for a jacket seemed, rather lame. his original thought of finding a gift would be easy, was long gone."if she was Boram i could just buy her an x-station." troy grumbled as he dragged his feet while he walked through the mall.
Troy stopped outside a jewelry store. it was the only place he could think of to find something she would like, even though she might not exactly need it. he looked at the various items. first bracelets. but he thought to himself they would be too... friendly. then the rings. he thought they were 'too much too soon'.
"can i help you sir?" said a jewelry store employee coming over to assist him.troy paused for a minute, but had a smile on his face.
"I'm having trouble deciding." he said, thinking out loud.
