Chapter 2-7 - Escape

6:00 P.M.
Old Downtown District
Nabuka, Japan

The mobile command vehicle arrives at the parking lot. The team is briefed for the mission.

Daniel: Listen up, our next target is Naoko Yamamoto, known as Calamity Mary. The western magical gunwoman. She is in the penthouse, where she reigns on top. We've got to stop her before she causes more genocide in the future. Once she is taken down, immediately evacuate the area, we will call in the Japanese federal authorities to shut down the Kanawa Association. Kenji, you will go in as a recon and search for intel about their organization, while Jin will be the sniper. Me, and Johann will stay here to manage the progress and evacuation of our mission.
Kenji: I'll get on to it. The area doesn't seem to be guarded.
Jin: There might be open spots where they could easily see us. We better be aware of it.
Johann: Let's move.

They leave the parking lot. Kenji heads into an alleyway, encountering a lone Associate henchman, speaking to someone in the phone.

Associate: The boss is at her penthouse, she is busy enjoying at the moment before a next meeting will begin later. I will be attending as well. See you.

As the associate holsters the phone into his pocket, Kenji knocked him out unconscious and hid his body inside a big crate. A big truck is passing by as he hides.

*engine accelerating*

He goes into the small office building, taking the back entrance. It seems no one is around.

Kenji: It's me. I'm in position at the small office, a bit close to the penthouse.
Daniel (radio): Good, we need intel about the Kanawa Association, so the Feds can know about this. Search for any intel you come across. Data storage device, documents, anything you can find. Search the adminstrator's office.

He goes into the second floor, finding the door is protected by a keypad.

Kenji: The door's code-locked. Looks like 4-digit.
Daniel (radio): And the room is protected alarm tripwire lasers. Search for the code.

Kenji enters an office room, and sees a note written in a yellow paper.

"The administrator's office is only accessible to the admin himself. The code for the keypad door to his office is 5905. Don't show this to anyone except for the manager."

He finally takes note of it, as he proceeds to the maintenance room.

Kenji: Found the code, I'm heading to the maintenance room.
Johann (radio): Good. Look for a fuse box and shut down the laser trap.

He opens the fuse box, and plugged out two fuses that links the power to the admin office.

Kenji: Got the power off. I'm heading there now. Jin?

Jin is at stairs, almost reaching the rooftop.

Jin (radio): Right here. I'm almost there, just gotta look for a spot where I can see her clearly.

In the administrator's office, Kenji finds secrets and info about the Kanawa Association filed in a red envelope.

Kenji: Found intel. I'm heading back now.

He leaves the office. Jin is at the rooftop, at the middle where he can see the penthouse window.
Naoko is at the penthouse floor, looking down at the limits of the downtown.

Jin has a clear view, as he can clear see her through the scope. He is about to pull the trigger.

Kenji noticed someone who calling on the phone, who is pointing at someone on the rooftop.

Kenji: Oh s***. Jin, someone sees you. You better make it out of there now.

Despite the warning, he is already has his finger pulling the trigger.

*gunshot*

The bullet went through the glass, hitting Naoko at the head. Naoko Yamamoto, as Calamity Mary, is dead.

*alarm*

The sound of the gunshot immediately alarmed everyone as the entire area is on alert.

Command (radio): It was a trap! She wasn't alone!
Daniel (radio): Evacuate from the area immediately and get to the extraction point!
We are sending a helicopter to pick you up!

Jin goes to the other side of the rooftop area, as he sees the helicopter passing by. A rocketeer destroys the helicopter with an RPG.

*rocket launch*
Pilot (radio): Area is too hot, I repeat---

*explosion*

Daniel (radio): Damn it, They got RPGs! We are calling in a truck for secondary extraction, get to it fast as you can! I've called in the Federal authorities to stop them!

Jin makes his way down, as a gunfight ensues between him and the Associates. He use his pistol to defend himself.

Associate 1: There he is! Kill the sniper!
Associate 2: Get him!

*gunfire noises*

Jin makes his way down from the stairs, an Associate suprises him melee. He makes a counter, then beats him up and throws him out of the building.

*sound of breaking glass*
*screaming*

Jin: Old hag.

He continues to run his way down.

Command (radio): Do you have a death wish?! What's taking so long?
Jin: I'm trying to find my way down, this place is like a damn complex.

As he sees two paths in the corridor, he sees Kenji coming out from the left, guiding him.

Kenji: Over here! Hurry!

Jin goes to the left, a pair of Associate members appear as he takes the stairs on the left, leading him to the ground level back exit.

Johann: Gab, start the truck!
Daniel: We see you! Get in quick!

Jin and Kenji hold off the associates, as they go into the truck.

*police sirens wailing*

Johann: They're in!
Daniel: Get us out of here, the feds are coming!
Gabriel: Where to, now?
Daniel: Just get us to the airport...

The truck leaves as the Japanese federal authorities begin their assault on the Kanawa Association.
