Warning:  There are homophobic comments in this oneshot.   If your sensitive about that kind of stuff I recommend you skip this one.

Tony gets out of his car and is immediately swarmed by paparazzi.  Stephen and the rest of the Avengers are already waiting for him.  The press conference should have already begun, but what's the point of a press conference without Tony Stark?  Tony takes his seat between Steve and Thor.   Reporters immediately begin shouting questions.  Stephen rolls his eyes in annoyance.  "Alright.  We've scheduled this press conference to inform the world of the latest news.  Please welcome our newest Avengers: Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Wasp, Valkyrie, and Black Panther!  They have severely helped us Avengers out and it's time they officially become one of us.  A round of applause would be most appropriate."  Tony announces to the press.

The reporters start shouting questions at the newer Avengers now.  "Doctor Strange!  Doctor Strange!  Over here!"  Stephen sighs, but lets the reporter speak.  "Have the Avengers been kind to you?  Are there any rivalries amongst you?"

Stephen glances at Tony for a split second.  "Well I think everyone's been kind to me.  At least in front of me.  Who knows what they talk about behind my back?  Especially my boyfriend Tony Stark, he-"  Stephen didn't realize his mistake until he said it.  The press goes bonkers.  Most of them are screaming at Tony and Stephen, while some are asking the other Avengers what they think of them together.

"How long has this been going on?  Will this ruin your reputation?"  One reporter screams at Tony.

"Is it hard to be accepted for who you are?  Do all the Avengers support you and Mr. Stark?"  Another reporter yells at Stephen.

The other Avengers exchange nervous glances.  They all get up, including Tony and Stephen.  The reporters try chasing after them, but after a particularly gory threat from Nat, they back off.  Back at the Compound, all the Avengers sit in an uncomfortable and awkward silence.  "So.....the news is out."  Tony starts off, sitting next to Stephen.  "What are we gonna do?"

Before they could answer, FRIDAY'S voice rings out.  "Boss, you have fifty new emails and are still receiving more."

"Read 'em off to me."  FRIDAY begins reading the emails.  "The world can't be saved in the hands of sinners.  God save you both."  FRIDAY read.  Peter gasps.  Stephen grips Tony's hand.

"I didn't know Tony Stark was a faggot."  Tony stiffened, dreaded memories coming back to him.  Some of his childhood and some of his adulthood.

"Doctor Strange turned Tony Stark into a sinner.  He should be removed from the Avengers."  Tony leans his head on Stephen's shoulder, comforting him.  FRIDAY reads off much more and the room remains silent.

Peter looked like he was about to burst into tears.  He hugged Tony and Stephen tightly.  "I can't believe people would say that.  You guys have saved the world.  I-it's not fair that you get treated t-this w-way."  Peter stutters.

      "FRIDAY, do I have anymore?"

"No.  Boss, I'm sorry."  Tony nods looking down at his hands.

"Well it doesn't matter to us."  Thor assures.  Bruce nods in agreement, holding Thor's hand.  "Love is love.  Right?"

"Right.  Clint and I volunteer to track down the people who sent those emails.  They won't live another day."  Nat threatens.

Carol shakes her head.  "I didn't know Earth was still like this.  I thought it was accepted now?"

"Me too.  I was shocked that even though gay marriage is legal now, people still believe it's wrong."  Steve comments.

Bucky puts a hand on Tony's shoulder.  "You're safe with us."  Sam puts a hand on Stephen's shoulder.

"Yeah.  You need someone dead?  We got it handled."  Stephen chuckles.

Wanda, T'challa, and Valkyrie all sigh in disappointment.  "Wakanda is much more accepting.  You can come visit if you like."  T'challa offers.

"You know, we should all attend a pride parade to show our support."  Scott suggests.  Hope kisses Scott sweetly.  "That's a terrific idea."

"It's pride month after all."  Rhodey agrees.

All the Avengers show their support in their own unique ways.  But one thing's for sure, if a member of the LGTBQ+ community gets shamed or attacked, they won't hesitate to defend them.  Especially if it's one of their team members.

A/n: Sorry that was so short.  It also physically pained me to write those emails, I still can't believe people think that way.  I hope you enjoyed!  <3
