"How dressed are you? Kinda dressed or all the way dressed?" I yelled out from the loft living room area.

Leo was taking forever to get dressed... And I was highly anticipating this dinner we were going to tonight. It was a celebratory thing, but we weren't just celebrating ONE thing. It was for him landing his official chef job in New York, and for his maturity. He decided to call his sister up a few days after her birthday, and he and her spoke for almost 3 hours on the phone. There were many awkward pauses at first, a few laughs at his accent, and then toward the end of the conversation it was more comfortable and free flowing. By time they were saying bye, there was a plan for them to have dinner together, and he even weaseled ME into it, saying me and her needed to talk too. I only agreed to going to this dinner because of Leo!

Me and Leo were getting to know each other all over again, after 6 long years of separation and one long night of unexpected reuniting. Leo had done so much maturing in the south, and I adored his happy spirit the same way I did in the past.

"Baby, I'm damn near dressed. Don't rush it now, before I look bad... I don't know how I feel bout this hair change thang, you know?" I giggled, remembering how much work me and him had put in taking his dreads out in the last couple weeks. I'd been coming over every other night, taking them out, and we'd finally finished. His sandy blonde-brown curly head was finally out, and I loved how it looked. "Tonya... How do you think I'm looking, huh?"

He came out in a pair of slate grey slim slacks and and black button up shirt, his hair slicked back into a bun. I bit my lip, unwillingly, because he looked SO damn good. I knew he was looking his best to show his sister what he'd made of himself, but I felt like he's gotten dressed and sexy all for ME to want to rip it all off. "You... You look... Damn." I walked up to him and kissed his bit of stubble that'd grown out in the last couple of weeks. "You look perfect King Leo..." I winked as I spoke to him, and he chuckled.

"Naw man, don't flatter me, I just wanna know if I look good enough. It's aight baby?" Butterflies flew around my stomach as he called me baby, his accent turning me on STILL as I heard it. "Come here sexy. Black dress looking perfect on you mama, hundred percent."

"Leo." I put my hands around his neck and looked into his pretty boy eyes. "This dinner... I didn't go much into detail about it, but me, Zara and Deena didn't really end off on a good note... Things changed since you left... I want this night to be great for you, and I'm going as your support... But I'm staying on the safest side possible tonight... Do you get what I'm saying?"

He put his hand around my waist, pulling me tight toward him. "I get it baby. Shit get messy, I knows what you tryna say. You don't have to say nothing baby, if you really don't want to! I'm just tryna get this out the way, ya hurr me? Me and my sista, we gots shit to fix. That's what I'm tryna handle mama...One step at a time. Plus... I get the chance to take your pretty ass out to eat and celebrate my new job!" He kissed me and grabbed his jacket and mine. "Put this on baby, we could leave now..."
