Rain cascaded down the windows, the running drops looking like tears as if the sky was crying. It seemed that the weather was reflecting Jungkook's current mood, for a miniture rainstorm was indeed going on in Jungkook's eyes.

Like the clouds, Jungkook felt cold. Grey.

He pulled the covers over his head, his wet tears soaking his pillow. He didn't want to face the world. He wanted to hide in the dark chamber of his bed forever.

"Kookie?"

Jungkook let out a loud sigh at the familiar voice. So much for spending the day alone in his bed. He lifted his head, screwing his face up at the light of the room.

"Hi, Tae," he said. He tried to sound normal and even cheerful, but his voice was thick and scratchy, and only an idiot wouldn't be able to see behind the smiling mask.

And Taehyung was not an idiot.

His brow furrowed in concern and he stepped forward, sitting down beside Kookie. He gently rested a hand on his back. "You okay, baby?"

"Y-yeah. Fine," Jungkook said, but his voice cracked and without warning, tears dribbled down his cheeks.

Taehyung's eyes widened and he automatically pulled Jungkook into his chest. He felt his boyfriend tremble before starting to sob quietly, the sounds breaking Taehyung's heart.

Tae didn't ask any questions- he simply rocked Jungkook back and forth, gently rubbing his back as he let the maknae express his emotions. He patiently held him until the younger quitened down and pulled away, awkwardly scrubbing at his eyes with his hands and sniffling.

"Hang on, I'll get you a tissue," Taehyung said gently, leaving the room and returning with a box of tissues and a cloth soaked in cold water.

He tenderly mopped Jungkook up, planting loving kisses to the tear stains on his cheeks. Once he'd finished, he put his arm around the boy and started to stroke his hair.

"Why all the tears, Kookie?" Taehyung asked, keeping his voice soft and gentle. He only regretted it when Jungkook's face screwed up.

"I just... I just feel like I... Like I can't do anything right," he said shakily, hands balling into fists. "I k-keep messing up the dances and I'm just so useless and I-"

Taehyung was quick to shush him when he saw fresh tears welling in his sparkling doe eyes. "Shh, shh, no more crying," he said, "your poor eyes are sore enough."

He felt Jungkook snuggle closer into him. "You've got yourself all worked up because you're struggling with the dances?" Tae enquired softly, sighing when he felt Jungkook nod.

"Sweetheart, it's okay. It's normal to not get a dance straight away. We all struggle sometimes, even D-A-N-C-E monster," Tae tried to comfort, smiling when he heard Jungkook's small laugh.

"You and me can practice together soon, okay? Sound good?"

Jungkook nodded. Taehyung gave him a soft kiss on the tip of his nose. "I'll get you a drink, all that crying will really dehydrate you. And how does some ramen sound?"

"Ramen sounds good," Jungkook said, giving Tae a wobbly smile. Taehyung smiled back affectionately before hurrying into the kitchen and busying himself with getting his boyfriend his food.

Yoongi and Hoseok, who were lounging on the chairs, gave Tae concerned looks.

"Is everything okay? We heard crying," Hoseok said.

"It's fine. Kookie had a little freakout, but I calmed him down and he's okay now," Taehyung reassured as he stirred the ramen.

Yoongi and Hoseok nodded, relieved. Taehyung finished with the food and took it on a tray to his boyfriend, smiling when he saw him patiently waiting on the bed for Tae to come back.

"Thank you, TaeTae. I love you," Jungkook said sweetly as Taehyung handed him the tray. Taehyung really was his lifesaver- he didn't know what he'd do without him.

The next few minutes were spent with Jungkook eating his ramen, occasionally feeding Taehyung some spoonfuls, and enjoying the warmth of his boyfriend's body next to his. And when Taehyung suggested they practice the dreaded dances, Jungkook didn't freak out when he messed up the routine the first few times of trying it. With Taehyung there, he could even laugh it off when he turned the wrong way or lifted the wrong arm. And gradually, Jungkook and Taehyung both perfected the dance.

Maybe Jungkook could never really avoid the stormy days within his life. But with Taehyung there by his side, he knew he would be able to dance in the rain.
