"Don't tell me another mosquito bit you," Jimin said as he sat in the cube next to mine. Momentarily, I forgot that the shirt I was wearing today did not cover the mark he had placed on my neck last night. He rarely marked me in prominent places in the past, but lately, he was doing it more often. From now on, I have to let him know my neck is off-limits.
"Yes, I have been spending too much time on the balcony at night. You should see my legs." I hated lying to Jimin, but there was no way I could be honest with him. From Jimin's perspective, I was a saint. There was no way I could let him think otherwise.
"Jinnie, you must be careful; your skin is much too clean for mosquitoes to bite you like that. I'm going to buy you an insect repellent. Using this, you can keep insects away whenever you're on your balcony. We know how much you enjoy spending time on your balcony at night." He replied, and before I knew it, he had already started searching for mosquito spray and cream on Amazon.
I didn't deserve him. There was no way I could tell him the spray he was looking at wouldn't work on the mosquito that bit me every night. I laughed inwardly as I thought of this.

Jimin was leaning over my cube as I looked up from my computer. I guess he found a spray. "I forgot to mention they are appointing a new director for our department to replace Jason. Well, we already found him. His first day is today, but I haven't seen him yet. Maybe he's meeting with our CEO and other directors." he said.
"Really? I was surprised they didn't send out a notice about this. How did you find out about it?" Why did I even ask that? Jimin knew almost everything that happened around here, not everything, but most.
"The CEO wanted them to keep it a secret until they were sure the new guy would join. I guess they were afraid of announcing it and then having the person not bother to join." Of course, Yoongi told him. Being in a relationship with the Chief of Staff had many perks.
"He has a handsome face too. I saw his picture. If I weren't dating Yoon, I would've tried to get his attention. I think you will like him." he said with a smile. Immediately, I knew that he was plotting a way to set me up with our Director. It didn't matter how many times I told him I wasn't interested in dating anyone; he never stopped. I was forced to go on a blind date last week. It wasn't a bad guy, but he lost me when he told me he wanted to settle down and have kids with someone right away. Those things don't interest me.
"Yeah, maybe," I replied, smiling.

The rest of the morning at work was pretty boring. I tried looking up some information regarding our new Director, but couldn't find it. Jimin only told me his last name, which is Jeon. I can find so much information with that, especially since there are so many Jeons in the world. So I guess I'll have to wait.
Hoseok came into the room and said, "Guys, we are having a meeting in 20 minutes. The CEO would like to introduce the new Director to the team."
"The entire firm?" Jimin asked.
"No, just our team. We are meeting in Daydream's conference room with just the new Director and CEO. The CEO is hosting the meeting himself, so I guess he wants to make sure everything goes smoothly. The sudden departure of Jason was hard to understand." Hoseok mentioned.
I do agree with him. Our last Director just resigned. We did not know whether the resignation was voluntary or involuntary. I liked him a lot; he taught me a lot about what I know today. I could even count on him staying behind in the office to ensure I didn't leave alone. It didn't matter how many times I told him it was okay; he didn't listen. He stayed with me. I miss him dearly. When I tried calling him, his number was unreachable. Perhaps he changed it. Everything about his departure from the firm seemed strange. I suppose you never know all the details.
