Today was the Fourth of July and Lily was bugging me the entire day, begging me to go to some party that was happening tonight. I happily denied each and every time she asked me to go. Nathan even asked me if I wanted to go out with him today but I also declined that as well. I was just way too lazy to do anything at all.
So I was now currently in my room reading a book Nathan had bought me. I didn't even bother getting ready for the day since I wasn't planning to go anywhere. I had also already made my dad his dinner so now I had nothing else to do but relax. Or so I thought...
I start to hear little presistent tappings against my bedroom window. I ignore it at first but when it kept continuing I closed the book irritated and walked over to my window. Lifting the window up, a rock flies in my room barely missing me as it lands on my bedroom floor. "What the fuck?" Then I hear the whistle.
"Rapunzel let down you're hair!"
"What the hell is wrong with you! There's a door!" I hiss.
"Not a fan of Rapunzel I see." He stays quiet for a moment, tilting his head side to side as if he was debating something. "Got it!" He runs away.
I look around, dumbfounded. I can't believe this is happening right now. A few minutes later he returns with a bouquet of red, white, and blue flowers. He takes out a single red flower then holds it up to me. "But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Annabeth is the sun."
I roll my eyes then glanced back to my bedroom, debating whether or not to put on my earphones and continue reading or play along. Already knowing the answer I leave the window and pick the rock up from the floor and throw it at him. It hits his leg. "Ow!" I smirk.
"Quoting Shakespeare I see. But I do believe that it is, and Juliet is the sun."
"I know but you're my sun, you're the light of my day, the heat and beauty of-"
"Well you shut up! Someone might actually hear you!" I whisper-yell.
"I don't care! You make me mad Annabeth, the moments of my day is thought of you-"
"Stop the mushy shit I'm already going out with you." I roll my eyes. "Fine! I'll just keep quoting Shakespeare then!" He clears his throat. "Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon-"
"I'll drop-kick you if you don't stop!" He smirks.
"She speaks: O, speak again, bright angel! For thou art, as glorious to this night, being o'er my head." He laughs. "Come on I know you want to play along!" I roll my eyes.
"O Nathan, Nathan! Wherefore art thou Nathan? Deny thy father and refuse thy name; Or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my... Uh Like-fullness?" I say carefully. He laughs.
"Oh darn I guess I didn't trick you into saying it now did I?" He laughs, snorting in the process.
"What are you a pig?" I laugh, accidentally snorting in the process. I stop, wide eyed.
"Looks like we're both pigs now, aren't we?" He smirks.
"Shut up!" He lefts up his hand and with his finger, lifts up his nose and starts snorting like a pig. "Your an idiot! Do you know that? An idiot!" I laugh. He smiles back at me letting his arm fall back to his side.
"I didn't know you can quote Shakespeare!" He yells. "I could say the same to you!"
"Romeo and Juliet is one of my favorite plays! I learned some of the dialogue when I read it for class. I'm not ashamed to say I rather enjoyed it. Well it was boring in some parts but overall it was actually kind of good. Even if it was tragic in the end. But what is love without disaster?"
