Fear. Humans are equal to their fear. There is no escaping it. Fear is like an impervious bubble that holds you back, that holds your head under the water. Humans cannot escape their fear. There is no escaping. Fear lingers.

Some disagree with me. Some say that you can be fearless. Well, then those people have never loved. Have never lived. Fear is love. Fear is life. You fear loosing those you love and you fear leading a pointless, a boring life. So just because you don't fear physical things, you will fear psychological things. Fear is inevitable.

Today was my first day of Driver's Education. The class is pass/fail, which is great to hear because I hate letters and I hate numbers. What is so damn different from a 92 and a 93 except that one is a B and one is an A? One is a 3.0 GPA, one is a 4.0 GPA.

Driver's Ed is more for spreading fear than it is for teaching how to drive. "That's our parents' job," they tell us. So instead, for years we sit and watch horrible, bloody videos of car crashes. When finally we are allowed to leave, we discover that it has only been three hours. Only three hours and yet so much fear. We are taught to fear the road, the car, the driver. Fear the alcohol, the drugs, the friends. Fear the radio, the GPS, the air controls. Fear the road, the car, the driver. Fear.

What is so different from fearing and caring? What is so different from living and breathing? I may never know.
