Is there a God? My mother tells me there is. She still prays, as does my father. They still hope that someday, when they die, they will be reborn into an eternal being. Forever at peace. Is there a God? Is there ever peace?

We go to church every week. We sit in the pew and listen as some godly figure throws religious facts at us. They say that God loves us all. They say that God is ever forgiving. They say that to be with Him, we need to be good, honest men.

I don't know if there is a God, but then again, isn't that the point. Does anyone know if there is a God? Will anyone ever know? But I guess, once you know, he is no longer your God. God is mysterious. God is there and not there. He is present and not present.

Is there a God? If there is a God, then why do so many people greet pain and suffering as if they are best friends?
