Anyways this might be a frustrating chapter *wink* but hopes y'all enjoy it and thank thank thank youu all so sooooo much for reading, commenting & voting. It means the absolute world to me❤
Much love❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤If I had died, I'd have been happy that the last voices I heard were that of my parents.
But my parents were only a memory now.
For a few moments when i first awoke I thought I was dead too, but i wasn't.
I escaped death and for some reason I didn't feel enthusiastic about that.
I closed my eyes as the nurses and the man who was by my side since I awoke spoke to eachother about me in Spanish....
I looked up at him.
He was a complete stranger but i felt like i knew him and I felt safe with him. When I awoke the first time and he was by my side, i was without a doubt suspicious so he explained that after the accident he found me only seconds before thankfully a police who was on patrol after the mini storm stopped and called for the ambulance.
I guessed it was his shiny shoes I saw before blacking out.
When he learned that i was completely alone, no parents or anything he gracefully offered to house me and help me figure certain things out and never left my side since then.
Seeing that i knew absolutely no Spanish and he spoke English so well , he was my best bet so i agreed."How are you feeling?" ,He asked sweetly when he saw me awake.
"Bet...better......" I smiled back at him.
Among other things, the accident left me with a broken jaw making it quite difficult to speak at times.
One of the nurse gave me a dirty look.
"Good, the idea of a prostitute taking up space in our hospital sickens me.. Estúpida puta" ,she said.
I rolled my eyes. I wasn't even shocked at that point.
It had been a few days since I was at the hospital and I'd heard worse.Thankfully the guy beside was always there to comfort me.
"Hey, don't even let it get to you. You know your truth, what they think doesn't matter. Andd you're going home soon.... I'll help you I promise" he reassured me.
I smiled. "Okaaay" ,as he rubbed his thumb on the back of my hand.
He told me he had some papers to sign and stuff but I should take a nap because in a few hours we'd be going home and with that i dozed of.
Since the accident... my nightmares had been awful and felt so real.
I kept having an recurring dream where I was laying on the road under the capsized car, naked and bloody, staring at the peice of mirror clutched in my hand when I'd see black shiny shoes drizzled with rain approach and as I looked up to see who the person was , my eyes wouldn't focus on his face, all I'd see is the silver gun in his hands pointing at me and then i'd wake up drenched it sweat, heart pounding in my chest.
When I woke up this time, Rafael, the guy who was gonna help me was by my side .
"Are you okay?"
I sighed, "I just want to go home, i don't belong here"
"I know, I know, I hear you.... let get you out of here" ,he told me and left.
When be came back he smiled at me and asked "Are you ready?"
I was overjoyed.
He helped me up, let me change, and took me to his car.
Once there I sighed in relief.
That hospital felt nothing short of a prison.
"Can we go to the police first?" ,I asked
He sighed "I know you think that's what best right now, but -
"My parents they're -" I cut him of.
"Listen, you have to trust me here. This country is already very corrupted. You can't really depend much on the police.... also.... the public thinks you're a prostitute. They're not gonna take you seriously. I got you okay. Let me just take you home, you'll get some rest and you and i will try to understand the situation before we move ahead.... " ,he told me.
I hated it, but he was right so I agreed.
My mind was burdened with thousands of unanswered questions as he drove along the unfamiliar streets.
He finally pulled up to a building and i had a sudden moment of déjà vu.
He opened the fancy doors and lead me to a cozy little room.
"You can stay here" ,he told me.
He showed me where the shower & bathroom was and the mini fridge stacked with snacks and stuff to keep me hydrated.
He told me he had to step out for a second but he'd be back in a minute....that I should go ahead and take a nice warm shower and a maid would be by to give me fresh clothes and food.
I was beyond grateful for his hospitality.
And while the room he gave me was on hundred times better than the hospital bed in that god awful dull ward.... I still wanted to go home.I took a long shower and sat on the bed waiting for the maid he told me about to bring me the clothes and food. I was starving.
A few minutes went by and eventually a little asain woman burst through the door hurriedly , repeatedly apologizing and smoothimg the ruffles on her uniform.
I couldn't help but smile. She was just adorable.
When she finally looked up at me. He eyes widened and her face went pale as if she had seen a ghost.
"Phe... Pheobe?"
Confused, I stared at her.
"Pheobe? No I'm sorry, you must be mistaken, my name is Angel" I smiled at her.
