An unexpected invitation

 ~Akira's pov~
Right now I was running to school. My alarm didn't ring at the time it usually does and I didn't want to be late for school or my first class. I made it to school 5 minutes before the bell rang and luckily my locker was 5 lockers away from my English class. So I quickly put my stuff in my locker and quickly went inside before the teacher came in.

After English was over, I went to my music class. Once I arrived everyone was looking at me and clapped their hands which made me feel a bit embarrassed, shocked, and confused.

"Uh...Why are you guys clapping?" I said

"We're clapping for you of course. You won 1st place yesterday at the competition," said Adora (the teacher( in case you forgot.)

"Oh, yeah I did," I said

"How does it feel?" said a random student

"It feels good, but I'm just glad that people liked my song," I said

"It was a very beautiful song, Akira," said Adora

"Thank you sensei," I said

It was already lunch time and I was heading to my locker to get my bento box. As I was entering the code to my locker, Daisha came up to me.

"Hey Akira can we talk," said Daishi

"I don't want anything to do with you Daishi. Just stay away from me and go be with your real friends," I said grabbing my bento and closed my locker.

"Look it's because, I want to go back to being friends with you," said Daishi

"Well I don't, you admitted that you were just using me. Why would I want to be friend's with someone like that," I said and then left her there.

Once I arrived to the cafeteria, I saw Sami and Erin sitting at their table with Bentou.

"Hey guys, mind if I sit with you guys," I said

"Not at all," said Sami

"Your welcome to sit with us anytime," said Erin

"Thanks. So how are you guys doing," I said

"Good," said Sami, Erin, and Bentou

"We heard about yesterday, congratulations," said Erin

"You went to the competition," I said

"It was livestreamed," said Sami

"No way, that's so cool," I said

"I'm just glad I didn't participate," said Sami

"So how come your sitting here. I mean not to be rude or anything, but I didn't see you here yesterday," I said

"Oh, it's cause I had to look for something at the library. So I just ate my lunch at home," said Bentou

"Oh," I said

"So you guys know that Daishi and I aren't friends, right. Well, before I came here, she said she wants to go back to being friends with me," I said

"Why, she admitted that she was only using you for music and grades," said Erin

"That's just cold," said Bentou

"I actually know," said Sami

"Ok then, why does she want to be my friend," I said

"Ok, so you know how the competition was livestreamed, right. She wants to be famous through you. You see when someone becomes popular through any source, they become popular in the city or state they live in," said Sami

"Oh, I get it now. She only wants to use me. Thanks for that Sami, I'm glad you told me," I said

"No problem," said Sami

School had already ended and I was going to get my stuff from my locker. When I was about to close it, I heard my my notifications go off. I took my phone out of my pocket to see that I received an email. I closed my locker and put my phone back in my pocket, so I can read it at home.

When I arrived to my house, I went to get a and then left to my room. I lied on my bed and started reading the email that was sent to me.

"Dear Amiyama Akira, I saw you performing at the competition yesterday and I was wondering if you'd be interested in meeting me today at this restaurant at 7:00 p.m. If you are not at this restaurant after 7:00 then it will give me the impression that you aren't interested in my offer."

After reading the email, I was now interested in who the person was that sent me this email.

I was already at the restaurant and it was 6:55. I know the email didn't give me specific name, but I should at least try. Besides, I can protect myself. As time passes, it was already 6:59; a minute before 7. That's when I started thinking maybe this was just a prank.
