"I'll process our papers. So, that we can get married within this week." sabi niya na ikinabigla ko pa.

Napalayo ako sa pagkakayakap niya sakin mula sa likod.

"Within this week? Evo, are you serious?" He nodded.

"I'm serious. We'll do the civil wedding first then right after that we can plan the church wedding again." He casually said like there's nothing wrong.

"Why so fast? I mean if you want civil wedding then we'll choose that alone. There's no need for another wedding. Gastos lang. And what you want is impossible."

"It's possible, babe. And you know money is not a problem."

"Yes, but, we still need to be practical. We can use the money for a house or for business."

"I know, but you knew that we can afford all of that."

Di ako sumagot. He raised an eyebrow. "You don't like my idea." Hindi iyon tanong. "Or you changed your mind?"

"What? No! I'm fine with either, Evo. Kahit saan pa. But, why in a rush?"

"I'm not rushing, Ali. In fact, that was long overdue. Pinagpapatuloy ko lang ang nasimulan natin and this time it will happen. We will happen."

"Evo, you just proposed to me just an hour ago. Tapos ngayon, you want us to get married... in a week! Wait.." I stared at him for a moment nang may maalala. "Kinausap ka ba ulit ng dad mo? This is what he wants right? Our company is sinking and this is the fastest solution he can think of."

Hinila niya ulit ako paupo sa couch. Intertwining our fingers.

"No. Walang kinalaman si dad. This is my decision. I want us to get married, Ali. I want you to carry my name. I want to wake up next to you as my wife. And honestly, I felt like your slipping again away from me. So, please marry me as soon as possible, babe."

Di ako nakasagot.

I felt guilty. Really, really guilty. It's like I'm repeating what I did months ago. I don't want this pero kahit anong pilit namin maging maayos, may humahadlang. May nangyayaring hindi maganda. It's like it is meant for us not to be together. To be apart.

"But what about your mom... si Riva? Hindi na nila ako gusto para sayo, Evo. We can't rush this. I still don't even know where my mom is. Marami pa tayong dapat ayusin before we can finally settle."
