THE SALVAGED SOUL
Gayle Palaca
I'm sinful but you forgave me
I'm broken but you complete me
I'm jeopardized but you saved me
I don't deserve you but you still love me
I'm vain, vulnerable, and a mess
but you still think I'm special
You're impeccable, yet, you put me—
this despicable lady on a pedestal
I'm a burnout vessel
but you picked me up from the ashes
I deserve to be thrown away
but you don't think I'm one of those trashes
You are my savior, my Lord, my God
You are amazing, the best friend I've always had
You were with me in every step of the way
You have never forsaken me, not in school nor on play
My whole life changed the moment I accepted you
My once monotonous colored world, now gained hue
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21)
And now I'm confused on which to bargain
