The Talk

As soon as I climbed down the stairs I tried to catch a taxi to the cafe. But unfortunately there were no taxi.  Su Started calling me as I was getting late. 

No ride babe. I don't think I'll be able to reach there in 10 mins.

Su- I'm waiting here for  25 mins now for you. I finished my coffee. Let me come to the Turner street and meet up. I will get my car. I found out a bar there. I read the updates too its a good place. So what you say?

Yes . You checked everything there and you left nothing but yes for me to say. So come up girl, send me the address of the bar and I"ll meet you up there.

Su- And you"ll not regret at all I promise. We will have a fun time , get wasted and talk the shit out. See you soon. The bar is Jimmy's and it's just 1 block to the left from the bus stop near your office. Bye.

I started walking towards Jimmy's. I located the spot. As soon as I started walking I started getting the flash of my time with Ray but fast it went bland as my phone started to beep. I came back from my thoughts. It was Ray. Hey babe! Are you done with work? Can we meet? I wanted to reply back but coudn't find words to write.

  And I'm here in front of Jimmy's I told myself.

I opened the door I found a small and cozy place. Good we found this I told myself. I left my coat and went inside. It was quite crowded there. Felt warm. 

Hey there! One stiff martini please.

Is that Syrene Forbes?

Are you Jimmy Macreil?

Oh yes! My God Forbes long time no see. Only last I have seen you in college. 

Jimmy came out and hugged me.I was so happy to see him as he was in English Major with me. We both were together.

I'm working here nearby and how are you? Wait is this JImmy's yours?

Oh yes Ma'am! I went to work and tried everything but at last the bar connected me. As this place was bakery before owned by my grandfather but unfortunetly  it was closed as he coudn't continue to run this. So I renovated it and turned it into my own place. This place has my blood and sweat Forbes. I love it. It's my child. I even posted it on Twitter but I guess ma girl is so busy that she missed it.

Hey I'm sorry man ! I'm off  a bit these days. Right now there's a lot on my plate to handle. But hey , I came here today now gimme my poison for the evening fast. My phone started buzzing and it is my friend Su.I took my drink from Jimmy and captured a corner table for us. Sipped my drink. 

Come inside . I'm sitting in the right corne... Before I could finish the text I saw my friend walking towards me with a bright smile. I hugged her and waved towards the bar to order a drink for her. 

Honey tell me now why you sounded so uptight over the phone ,what happened? Su took a sip of drink from her beer she just took from the bar. Before I could utter a word I realised That the martini I ordered is quite strong and it started quite an affect. I started to think about Ray, his fragrance his touch....and... Syrene hey! what happened you called me here to talk. Now spill it... hey!!!

I came back to my senses and started to explain Su about the incidents happened today. Su seemed quite excited after listening to everything as she is one of the most naughtiest heads among all our friends. She found it quite impressive that a guy kissed me in my office and my boss who's apparently my father's age scolded me in a poliet way. I couldn't connect with her quite well. 

Hey Jimmy! Can you repeat our drinks please?

Su- Girl  go slow! You are two down already.

Come on Su! It's ok I can handle.

I'm gonna use the washroom and comee back. 

I heard something while I was cleaning up. I tried to ignore it but a word pierced my ear and I couldn't stop myself from concentrating. I heard his voice, is it Ray ? I did't wanted to believe myself. I tried to listen again and I heard the word "Babe"  blacked out for a while. I tried to replay all the incidents that happened inside my head. I decided not to walk before getting the proof. Just when I was trying to convince myself that what I heard was wrong then Ray and someone else came our in a compromising situation. They were still kissing each other. I stood still without a word just like a statue. My eyes were warm and body was collapsing my world was turning upside down.

I saw Ray the shining prince of my dream kissing someone else. 

Ray is kissing someone else!!!

The girl who was with him suddenly turned towards me and Ray saw me. The first word came from his mouth "Babe" . The hatred poured out from my body was beyond description. I shooted a look to Ray. 

He came quickly. But before he could touch me I stormed out of the room dialing Su.

He started to run after me.... 

But all I could feel is shame. Warm waters rolling down my cheeks. I was scared so much of his touch that I coudn't wait for Su to explain what happened. I just started to run. It was cold I left my purse and coat. I was broken from inside I coudn't stop I coudn't breath I ran past the street, I just ran  and ran and ran ....... I stopped with a hit and a flash of light then I just remembered  unknown faces coming over and trying to pull me then it's all blank......
