Almost a week has passed and I have not been to work, I haven't slept well, and I haven't eaten much. What I have done is cry and sleep.
"Anna, we're leaving. Are you packed and ready to go?" Joe asked knocking on my door.
"I'm not going." I answered.
"Anna sweetheart, you can't keep doing this to yourself. You have a career now. There's more going on in your life than just some guy. I know you're hurting, but this isn't going to help. Believe me I know."
"No you don't! You don't know what I'm going through and you don't know how I feel!" I fired back. I could tell that my lashing out had hurt Joe's feelings and I felt bad.
"I'm sorry..." I said as tears filled my eyes once more. Joe pulled me in and comforted me. This break up hurt worse than all the others. I really loved Jon... I pictured myself marrying this man and in an instant I lost him. I missed him! I needed him. I needed his arms and I needed him to tell me that everything would be okay. "Nobody knows how I feel I mi-" I was feeling sick. I ran to the bathroom and got sick. After that was over, I couldn't move. My whole body was shaking. Joe came in and checked on me.
"Annaleigh how long has it been since you've eaten? You're white!"
"I don't remember."
"You need to eat something."
"I'm fine Joe."
"No you're not!"
"Yo what's taking so long?" Tyler asked entering my room.
"Annaleigh hasn't eaten in God knows how long. She's getting sick, weak, and she's losing color. We need to get something in her system." Joe explained.
"Guys I'm fi-"
"DO NOT say you're fine! You're far from fine! You're slowly killing yourself!"
"So?" I said as I started to walk back to my bed.
"No you're eating."
After some convincing, the boys got me to eat a few things. They tried getting me to go with them but to no avail. I wasn't ready. I'm not ready to see Jon. The boys left and I laid back down. I was almost asleep when my phone rang. I looked to see who it was and saw that Hunter was calling me. I let it go to voicemail. I knew I needed to call him back. I needed to let WWE know what was going on. I got up enough nerve and called Hunter back explaining that I had a bad case of the Flu. Hunter wished me to get well and let me sleep. But in my sleep... There was Jon.
*************
The boys were on their way to Monday Night Raw.
"I'm going to kick his sorry ass when I see him!" Joe warned.
"Wait it out, Joe. We don't know what happened." Tyler said.
"Oh I know what happened! He broke Annaleighs heart so I'm going to break his jaw!"
"Joe don't do anything stupid. Like Tyler said, we don't know what really happened." Jacob agreed, "Besides, if Tyler's not pissed about the situation than there's no reason you should be. You and I both know Tyler would be the first one on Dean's ass."
"Yea... why aren't you pissed, Tyler?" Joe asked turning to look at his friend.
Tyler wasn't pissed because he was the cause of all of this. He was the one who hurt his friend...not Dean; the girl he loved, but he couldn't tell Joe or Jacob that because he knew they would turn on him.
"I am pissed. It's just that if we go after Dean, it won't make Anna feel any better. It'll make her feel worse. We just need to be there for her right now."
The boys arrived in Anaheim, California. They made their way to their locker rooms when they were stopped by two of their women.
"Hey handsome!" Emma said planting a kiss on Joe's cheek.
"Hey."
"Gee... you okay?"
"Peachy. Have you seen Dean?"
"No...? Why?"
Joe was about to answer when the group spotted The Shield making their way to their secret hide out. Joe made a step forward when he felt a tug on his arm. It was Tyler.
"Not the time. Or the place." Tyler warned.
"What's going on?" Summer asked concerned.
"I'll explain later." Tyler answered kissing Summer on her forehead.
The boys finally made their way to their locker rooms. Dragging Joe along with them.
***Dean's P.O.V***
"Whooo! Smackdown was awesome last week!" Seth yelled excitedly.
Last week, we fought CM Punk, Ryback, and John Cena. We won of course, but my head wasn't fully in the match. All I thought about was Annaleigh. I hadn't talked to her since we ended things. Well... since I ended things. I was worried about her.
"Bro, you okay?" Roman asked noticing I had zoned out.
"Yea... just have a lot on my mind is all."
"We've noticed. Everything okay? You've been out of it since we left Nevada."
I needed to tell them. I needed to vent.
"No. I made the biggest mistake of my life."
"How?"
"What?" They asked in unison.
I then explained to them the events from the last time we were in Nevada. I didn't tell them about my conversation with Tyler, but I did tell them about my conversation with Annaleigh.
"You what?!" Seth asked in shock.
"I broke up with her." I answered.
"Why dude?! You're an idiot!"
"It's for the best."
"How is being miserable and alone for the best?!"
"Colby drop it. Jon obviously has his reasons." Roman said but also looking upset.
We started getting ready for our match when we heard a knock on our door. Roman answered.
"Where's Dean?!" The voice asked. It was a man's voice. Before Roman could answer, they barged in. It was Joe and he was pissed!
"Why the hell did you do that to Annaleigh?!"
"Do what?"
"Break up with her?! She was crazy about you Dean! She was happy!"
"It's for the best."
"Best for who?! You or her?! She gave you everything man and you shattered it!" Joe was becoming more heated by the minute. Joe and Colby inched closer to guard me in case he snapped.
"She'll be fine. She has you, Tyler and Jacob. She doesn't need me." I said.
"She's NOT fine! She's been locked in her room for over a week! A WEEK! She won't talk to us! She won't eat, she barely sleeps, she's weak from not eating or sleeping...all she does is cry! That night that you broke up with her, I found her in the desert curled up in a ball crying her eyes out! She was freezing but was refusing to go home. I had to carry her the whole way! I found her like that! ME!!" Suddenly Joe launched our table into the lockers.
Hearing this broke my heart. I didn't mean to hurt her that badly. I thought I was doing the right thing.
"So you tell me how it's best to find your best friend slowly killing herself and not giving a damn! Because the guy she's in love with tells her he doesn't feel the same and that she's not good enough for him!" Joe was shaking at this point. Half the locker room heard what was going on and came to see what was happening.
"I never said that Joe!" I defended.
"Yea? Well you might as well have! That's what she thinks! She feels that that's why you broke up with her because she wasn't good enough for you!"
"That's not why I broke up with her." I said calmly.
"Then why?!" Joe demanded.
"Tyler is the one who said I needed to end things with Annaleigh. He said that I wasn't right for her."
"What?!"
I had Joe take a seat as I explained to him the conversation that Tyler and I had the night we all went out, and by the look on Joe's face he was disbelief. After our talk he apologized and left our room. I felt guilty. I needed to call Annaleigh. I needed to know that she was okay.
"Guys you're on in 10!" A stagehand called.
We finished getting ready and started making our way to our entrance spot when the guys and I heard commotion coming from the Outlaws locker room. We walked by and saw that Joe had Tyler slammed against the lockers while Jacob tried separating the two with the help of Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler.
"How could you?!" Joe yelled.
"Joe you know why." Tyler pleaded.
"Because you're a selfish Jackass! Yea. Because you 'love' her. Because you were so desperate to be with her that you would do anything, ANYTHING to make that happen!"
"He doesn't love her like I do! He never will! He doesn't know anything about her like I do!"
"He does love her! Or did! And you obviously don't know her well enough yourself to see how happy she was with Dean! Bro you practically killed her and for what?! To make her choose you?! To make yourself happy while she's miserable? Dude if you loved her, and I mean REALLY loved her the way you say you do, you'd let her happy with whoever she chooses!"
"She'll be okay. She'll get over it eventually."
It was at that moment that I saw a different side to Annaleighs friend. He slammed Tyler into the lockers again.
"I swear to God that the next person that says Annaleigh will be okay, I'm going to put them in the hospital! Choose your next words very carefully, Tyler!"
"Maybe we need to help them." Roman spoke up.
"Yea it's getting out of hand." Seth agreed.
Something told me that if we get involved, we would be the ones ending up in the hospital tonight.
"No. This is between Joe and Tyler. Let them handle it."
"She will. You'll see." Tyler said confidently. That was all Joe needed. He saw red and managed to give Tyler two mean right hooks. Jacob, Chris, and Dolph managed to seperate the two but only for a brief moment. Joe had Tyler pinned once more.
"She's NOT okay! She won't be! She's killing herself and it's your fault!! You didn't find her in the shape that she was in! I did! I didn't sign up for this, Tyler! We're supposed to be best friends! Teammates! We're suppose to have each other's backs not stab them! I'm done! I quit the American Outlaws!"
Hunter finally got word of the fight and made his appearance. And he was not happy!
"What the hell is going on in here?!" He demanded.
"Don't bother. It's been taken care of." Joe answered making his way towards the door. Before he left, he turned to me and grabbed me by my collar.
"Go back to Annaleigh. Make it right! She needs you. And no matter what this dirt bag tells you, YOU are the better man for her." And he walked out.
I knew what I had to do. I just hope it's not too late.
