Chapter 13: Kansas City Pt. 1

 Today we arrived in Kansas City, Missouri. We film Smackdown in a couple of days but we decided to come a few days early to rest up and site see.
Things with the boys have been tense. No one's really talked to each other and I can't stand it. But I know that their egos are hurt. Once I was done unpacking, I changed into my work out clothes and decided to hit the gym. The boys' stress was giving me stress. I grabbed my gloves, my IPod, and my water bottles and left. I made my way to the gym, taped my hands, put my gloves on, put my headphones on and went to town on the punching bag. With every hit I felt my stress and anxiety slip away. Every move felt so good that the next hit was even harder. At one point, I was so lost in That song always gets me in the zone. I was so in the zone that I didn't even notice someone was watching me.
"You know that the punching bag isn't alive right?" The voice said laughing. I turned to give him a smart remark when I realized who it was.
"Seth! What are you doing here?"
"We always come a few days early to get match ready and rest up. What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Pretty much the same." I laughed.
"So... what's with you trying to kill the punching bag?"
"I just got in the zone. My song came on and I guess I got too lost in it." I shrugged laughing.
"Usually when people try to escape the real world, it's usually because something's bothering them... you want to talk about it?" Seth asked. I don't know what possessed me, but I spilt the beans,
"Ever since this feud between you and my friends started, it caused a rift between us and everyone's on edge. We haven't really talked."
"Oh wow! I'm really sorry to hear that. That wasn't our intention." Seth apologized.
"It's not your fault. It's just 3 super egos who hate to lose." Seth couldn't help but laugh.
"So is this all you know how to do?"
"No. I took up kickboxing as well."
"Have you ever tried Crossfit?"
"Cross what?" When I said that, I saw an evil smile grow on Seth's face.
"Oh it's awesome! You have a few free hours to kill?"
"Yea!"
"Sweet! Come on!"
I followed him
An hour in, I was exhausted! Crossfit was no joke.
"Whoo!!! How are you feeling?" Seth asked pumped up.
"I'll let you know when I can get feeling back." Seth belted out a laugh.
"Have you ever worked out?"
"Yea! But not to this extreme! How do you do it? I feel like jello! No seriously! I feel like my body is doing nothing but jiggle."
He laughed, "You get used to it."
"Seth I think you killed her!" We turned to see Dean walking over with Roman and two other people.
"No but he sure tried!" I managed to find the strength to sit up. Dean held out his hand and helped me up. I looked at Roman and noticed a little girl holding his hand.
"Anna,this is my daughter Joelle and my fiance Galina." Roman said introducing all of us.
"Hi! I'm Annaleigh." I said shaking their hands.
"Oh! So THIS is Annaleigh!" Galina said smiling at Dean who was red from embarrassment.
"We're going to the zoo!" Joelle yelled excitedly.
"Oh fun! I love animals." I said smiling at her. She was beyond cute! "Well, I'll let you guys go! Have fun!" I said as I waved goodbye.
"Wait!" I turned to see Joelle running towards me. "Come with us!"
"Oh sweetheart, I can't. This is a family event."
"Yea come with us. It'd be alot of fun and I'm sure Galina would like to have another female presence around." Roman urged.
"That's sweet but I really don't want to intrude."
"Nonsense. Dean and Seth will be going."
"Okay...sure."
We had the whole day to spend! The zoo was so much fun! Joelle and I fed some animals, Dean got attacked by a peacock (which was the funniest thing I've seen in a while!), and Galina got licked by a Giraffe. These guys are alot of fun! Very down to earth. Dean looked so attractive today... and seeing how he was with Joelle doubled that. He will be a good dad.
***Dean's P.O.V***
"I like her Dean. She'd be good for you." Galina said smiling. We were sitting on a bench watching Annaleigh and Joelle bond.
"I like her alot too! She's funny. Plus not alot of girls can handle Crossfit if they've never done it before." Seth agreed laughing.
"And she's good with kids! That's saying something." Roman joined in smiling.
"Whoa there! No talk of kids. Hell we're not even together. Don't go making me a baby daddy just yet." I laughed.
"No, but it does say alot about a person. And Joelle warmed up to her pretty quickly, and that's not like her." Roman said.
"And you obviously like her. You've talked about her alot since we talked last and I see the way you look at her. Take a chance! It couldn't hurt." Galina suggested.
"I do like her. She's different than all the other girls I've met. She makes me feel different when she's around. Like, I'm at peace with the world." I said.
"So why not go for it?"
I knew why. My past history with women wasn't clean... I didn't treat them right. I knew Annaleigh deserved more than that. I shook my head to clear my thoughts.
"No. I'm not the kind of guy she needs. She needs someone that can spoil her, someone who can give her the American dream; big beautiful house with a white picket fence." I said honestly. She did. I can't offer her the life that she may want. I come from rags, from a poor suburb with a drug addicted prostitute of a mother. No. My life did not belong in hers.
We left and headed back to get ready for Smackdown. Main event was us against the Outlaws.
