Last night was amazing! Beyond amazing! I got to see my favorite country duo live and meet them face-to-face, I got Jon back and had a very intimate moment with him. I turned over to see him sleeping peacefully next to me. I cuddled up next to him.
"Morning princess." He whispered.
"Morning." I smiled.
"What time is it?"
"8:45 in the morning." I answered.
He groaned while stretching.
"You hungry?" He asked.
"A little bit."
He got up to go to the kitchen, but I stopped him.
"It can wait." I said smiling as I pulled him in closer. We shared yet another intimate moment.
A few hours later, Jon and I were enjoying brunch.
"Any plans for today?" Dean asked.
"Enjoy a few more hours with you, and then go talk to Hunter about bringing me back tonight."
"Sounds like fun." He said smiling.
"What about you?" I asked.
"Work out with Joe and Lopez." He answered.
I giggled.
"What?"
"You always call Seth by his last name but never Roman. Why is that?"
"Because I can't pronounce Joe's last name to save my life!" Dean admitted laughing. I just shook my head.
"Who are you guys fighting?"
"Your friends."
"You mean two of my friends." I stated as I saw Deans face change.
"What?"
"Anna you need to forgive Tyler."
"Ha. Ha. Nope."
"Babe..."
"Save it Jon. What he did was wrong! And unforgivable!"
"I agree, but are you really willing to let go of a rare, unique, 10 plus years of friendship over something petty?" Dean asked.
"It's not petty Jon! He broke us up just so he could be with me."
"True. He still needs a punch in the jaw, but he knew what he did was wrong. He was taught a lesson by not one, but two of his closest friends. It's weird for me to say this, but Tyler's actually a good guy."
"Who are you and what have you done with my boyfriend?" I asked bewildered.
Dean laughed.
"It's still me babe. Before you came to the park, it was Tyler who set the whole thing up along with Joe and Jacob. He took your phone and pretended to be you while the other two made the distraction."
"What??" How'd he manage that?!
"And those Florida Georgia Line tickets and passes?" Dean asked.
"Yea?"
"Tyler."
"What??"
"He bought them when he thought he plan would work, but when it didn't he gave them to me so that way I could surprise you and win you back." Dean explained.
Wow. I've spent all this time being mad at Tyler that I didn't realize that he was a major help in getting Jon and I back together. I had no idea that he actually felt bad!
"So you need to move past this princess. We're back together. And I swear on my life that this time nothing or no one is going to come between us. You need to talk to him. He's your best friend and I'm not about to become the reason a friendship is ruined." Dean stated. I hated that he was right! Tyler was my best friend and I do admit that I do miss talking to him and hanging out with him like we used to.
"Fine! I'll talk to him." I said feeling defeated.
"That's my girl!" Dean said smiling.
We finished eating and Dean dropped me off at home. I was exhausted! I decided to take a nap before my big meeting with Hunter.
***Dean's P.O.V***
"How was the concert?" Seth asked.
"It was good! It's not really my kind of music, but Annaleigh really enjoyed it."
"What are you talking about? We listen to country all the time!" Roman stated.
"Yea but classics. Like Johnny Cash. Waylon Jennings."
"So we noticed that you didn't come home last night." Seth said with a smirk.
"I rented a hotel and we stayed there." I explained my absence.
"And...?" Seth trailed off wanting more detail of mine and Annaleighs night. I couldn't hide it. Both Roman and Seth noticed my smile and high fived me.
"Jeez dude you are slow as hell!" Seth said laughing.
"No. just wanted it to be special."
"Well let's hit the gym guys! We need to be match ready!" Roman said.
We headed for the gym. After spending a few hours working out, the guys and I decided to kill time by going to the mall. It wasn't long before we were approached by fans. Once we had signed what seemed like countless autographs and a dozen photos, we were finally free to roam the mall.
"I'm heading to Hot Topic. Leighla saw something in there a few weeks ago so I'm going to surprise her and get it." Seth said.
"Joelle is growing like a weed. Galina says that she's outgrowing most of her school clothes. So I'm going to a couple of places to get her some new clothes. Care to join Ambrose?" Roman asked.
"Nah. I'm going to walk around. Catch you in a bit."
I paced the mall looking for stores that peaked my interest. Nothing. So I decided to people watch in the ice rink. The ice rink was packed. There were a ton of kids trying to learn how to ice skate. It was cute actually. There were couples skating together, and professional skaters as well. Soon someone caught my eye. I noticed a woman with her back turned towards me who had reddish-brown hair. Annaleigh? I moved around the rink to get a closer look only to find out that it wasn't Annaleigh at all. It was a mother comforting her daughter, who just happened to have the same colored hair. I watched the woman for a few minutes and a familiar topic was surfacing: Annaleigh as a mom. Annaleigh would be a wonderful mother! The kid fans are so drawn to her and the teen girls look up to her. I wanted her to be a mother someday. Whether it be with me or someone else I don't know. I knew however, that she was my forever. I needed her in my life. I wanted her. I knew that I could never go a single day without her by my side. Then it hit me.
I left the ice rink and made my way to a store that I never in a million years thought I'd walk in to.
"Welcome to Bellagios. How can I help you?" A man asked.
"I'm looking for a ring."
***Annaleigh's P.O.V***
My alarm went off telling me it was time to get up. I stretched and made my way to the shower. I had suddenly become nervous about meeting with Hunter.
After my shower, I dressed appropriately and fixed myself up to be presentable. After I was satisfied with my look, I grabbed my house keys, my car keys, and headed out the door.
I made it to the arena. Before I got out, I took in a few deep breaths to calm my nerves. Once I was calm, I got out and made my way in to the building. The show was hours away but alot of Superstars and Divas like to show up early and practice. Or do interviews.
"Annaleigh!" I turned to see who called me. It was Emma. She ran towards me and wrapped me in a hug.
"We've missed you!" She said as her hug grew tighter.
"I've missed you guys too!" I said smiling.
"What are you doing here?! I thought you were sick?"
"I was. I'm better now. I'm actually on my way to talk to Hunter now to talk about bringing me back." I explained. I'm guessing she doesn't know about the fallout between Tyler and I.
"Annaleigh?" I turned to see Eva heading my way. Soon everyone found out I was back and hurried to greet me.
After I said my hellos, I made my way to Hunters office. Nervous, I knocked on the door.
"Come in!"
I obliged and stood in the doorway.
"Annaleigh!" Hunter said shocked to see me. "Come in! Have a seat! I wasn't expecting you."
I did as he said but not before I was embraced in a bear hug.
"It's good to see you! I take it that you are feeling better!"
"Much better." I smiled.
"That was some bug!" Hunter said almost questioning. I looked down at my feet feeling guilty.
"It was. It lasted for a few weeks and then I took a few personal days." I admitted.
Hunter looked as if he knew more than what I was fabricating but he continued,
"What can I do for you?"
"I want to come back."
"Come back? You never left."
Those words were music to my ears.
"Really?" I asked smiling.
"Yes! What made you think otherwise?"
"Well I've been sick and haven't really been around. I was afraid I had been replaced."
"Nonsense! Just because you were sick for a bit doesn't mean we'd cast you aside. You're our champ! We can make this work!" Hunter said as I sat down to discuss the plan on my return.
***Dean's P.O.V***
"This one is our most popular one. Of course we can customize it however you'd like, Mr. Good." The jeweler explained. I picked up the ring and examined it. In my mind I couldn't believe that I was picking out an engagement ring! But in my heart I knew I couldn't let a woman like Annaleigh go. I knew I had to make her my forever somehow.
"Holy cow! Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing?!" Roman asked shocked followed by Seth. I was caught. But I didn't care. They are my brothers. They had predicted this happening long before I knew myself!
"Are you thinking about proposing to Annaleigh?!" Seth asked excited.
"Not thinking. I am." I said proudly.
"I never thought I'd see the day that our brother Dean Ambrose would get married! Or even consider it!" Roman teased. I smiled while studying the ring.
"We never expected to have a game changer either." I replied.
"True. But I couldn't be more happier for you, bro. I'd pick her a million times over for you." Roman said patting me on the back.
"Same here." Agreed Seth.
The jeweler came back with another choice and I studied both rings back-to-back.
"When are you planning to propose?" Roman asked.
"After Jacob's wedding." I answered.
"Dude! That's next year!" Seth said.
"Enough time to plan this thing out. I want to do this right. Which one?" I asked.
"That one." They said in unison. I was hoping that they would pick the first one I studied. It had 'Annaleigh' written all over it.
"This is the one." I told the jeweler.
My heart began to pound as the realization of what I was doing began to sink in. But I knew with every bone in my body that for the first time in a long time, I was doing something right for a change.
***Annaleigh's P.O.V***
After talking with Hunter, I couldn't wait for tonight! I had to tell the boys! Luckily, the boys were at the arena early also. I found them in their usual spot: Catering. As I approached, I noticed Tyler sitting with them and Summer sitting in Tylers lap. I recalled mine and Jon's conversation earlier this after noon.
'You need to talk to him.'
Jon's voice rang out clear. I hated how Jon was right on this one, but I had to admit that I did miss my best friend. Even if I wanted to punch him repeatedly in the face.
Hesitating, I made my way to where they were all sitting.
"Hey Annaleigh!" Jacob said waving; grabbing the attention of Joe, Tyler and Summer. I waved back as I approached Tyler, who looked nervous.
"Can we talk?" I asked.
"Um...sure."
"Alone?" Summer got the hint and left. I made my way outside towards my car, Tyler right behind me.
"I want you to know that I'm still very hurt and pissed by your actions." I started as Tyler looked down at his feet.
"But-"
"But nothing." Tyler said interrupting. "You have nothing to apologize for. I should be the one apologizing to you."
"You tried." I countered. "But I didn't really give you a fair chance to."
"You were upset. I understood. What I did to you... I haven't even forgiven myself so how do I expect you to forgive me?" He asked.
"Why did you do it?" I asked.
"I'm stupid. No, I don't know what came over me. Annaleigh, you can make any man happy. Literally! You are a rare one. It's like God created you so that He could watch Man fight for you like Gladiators!" He laughed. I couldn't help but join in his laughter as he continued,
"No... I guess I was afraid of being replaced. I've been your #1 guy all these years, so I thought it was rightfully my spot, I guess. I do love you. You could make me happy. You DO make me happy! I could do the same for you. Would do the same for you. I would give you the world if given the chance." Tyler said as he placed my hair behind my ears. His words; his reasoning made me feel bad. Tyler really is an amazing man! He would make any woman unbelievably happy! I would be with him if I could. If I felt the same way... sometimes I wish I did feel the same way about him... that way I would quit hurting him. He sighed and continued.
"Somewhere down the line, I knew that I would forever be friend-zoned, but I had to try at least once more to make you mine. But after our fight, after I really got to thinking about everything, I started to realize that you too had become just a friend. That doesn't change how I feel, it's just a new love for you. I think deeply it was just me fighting to stay in your life. You've been a huge part of mine... that it's become so natural. I couldn't bare the thought of losing you, Annaleigh. You, along with Joe and Jacob, play a huge role in my life. I can't imagine a day in my life where you weren't a part of it."
"You can never be replaced, Tyler. You're my best friend! As long as we live I'm going to need you in my life. You're my rock."
"Dean's your rock now. I 'm just the one who makes sure it stays that way." Tyler said smiling. I shook my head returning his smile,
"No, Tyler. YOU'RE my rock. I love Jon. There's no doubt in my mind that he's the one for me, but you have known me much longer than he has. If it ever came down to it, and I had to choose between you and him, or you and anyone else, I would always choose you. It will always be you and me against the world."
"Really?" He asked.
I nodded.
"So does this mean we're okay? We're back to being friends again?"
I walked over and hugged him. Every bit of anger I had towards him; every piece of hate I thought I had, instantly subsided in the 10 minutes that we had been talking. I couldn't be mad at him. I had to forgive him. He was after all, my rock; my best friend.
"Thank you for the Florida Georgia Line tickets." I said.
"How'd you know??"
"Jon told me."
"He wasn't supposed to."
"Well he did. For you, actually. He made it a point to take up for you and said that you're really not that bad of a guy."
"Really? Wow."
We made our way back inside the arena. It's time to give Dallas, Texas a show they're never forget!
*~*(RAW)*~*
***Dean's P.O.V***
The guys and I were getting ready for our match. The Shield and The American Outlaws would be starting the show tonight.
"Any word yet on whether or not Annaleigh will be coming back tonight?" Roman asked.
"I haven't had a chance to ask her. I've been playing hide-and-seek with the ring. " I said. Both Roman and Seth found that to be hysterical.
"How's that going for you?" Seth asked still laughing.
"Nerv-racking! It's like every time I hide the damn thing, thinking she could never find it, she winds up getting closer to finding it!"
The guys were rolling.
"You want me to hold it for you til' the time's right?" Roman offered.
"Please? But don't lose it!"
"I won't." Roman promised.
Soon we heard a knock on the door. It was Annaleigh.
"Hey babe!" She said as she planted a kiss on my lips.
"Hey princess. You're dressed up in your ring gear!" I said.
"Yea! I'm going on tonight!" She said jumping up and down.
"That's awsome!" I said kissing her cheek. I noticed her looking at Roman and Seth with a raised eyebrow.
"Why are you guys looking at me like that?" She asked. I turned to see the guys giving her goofy smiles.
"No reason." Seth said still smiling.
I'm going to kill them!
"Guys head to the entrance. You're on in 5!" A stagehand said. Saved by the bell!
Annaleigh and I kissed goodbye and went our seperate ways. We made it to the entrance and waited for our cue. Tyler and the rest of the Outlaws were already out there doing their promo:
"...The Shield thinks they're unstoppable. That this is their yard and that we don't belong here. Guess what boys? We do! We're still standing tall! We still come in to this ring week after week and prove that we belong here. Yea I'll be man enough to admit that they've gotten lucky and beaten us a few times, but eventually that streak will end. And when it does, the stronger team will be standing tall: which is us! So with that being said, why don't we make an offer boys?" Tyler said looking over at Joe and Jacob. "How about a match? Tonight? The Shield verses The American Outlaws?" Tyler asked. No answer. We were waiting for the right time. The crowd began to chant our name but no response just yet.
"Where are you Shield?! We're calling you out. I thought you were the top dogs?" Nothing.
"Seems to me you have more bark than bite." Tyler said throwing the mic down as he and the other two made their way to the ropes. Now is our cue.
