Chapter 31 - The Wedding

Gabe was still asleep while he and Clem were cuddling

Clem slowly opened her eyes and felt the weird feeling in her stomach again. "Oh no... Not again... " Clem thought

Gabe was still asleep as he cuddled Clem from behind

Clem had to wake up Gabe. She didn't want to vomit in the bed so she tried to shake him awake

Gabe's eyes slowly opened. "Hey babe. What's up?" Gabe asked rubbing his eyes

"I'm sick. Let me go please" Clem said worried

"Oh... ok." Gabe Said letting go of Clem

Clem quickly got up and ran to the garbage can. She immediately vomited in it

Gabe quickly got out of bed and came to her aid

Clem sat down beside the garbage can. "Why is this happening to me? "

"I don't know baby. But it's worrying me." Gabe Said sounding scared

"Can you take me to Ruby? " Clem asked as she was very scared as well

"Sure baby. Absolutely." Gabe said picking her up bridal style

"Thanks" Clem said closing her eyes while Gabe carried her to Ruby

"No problem." Gabe Said as he carried her to Ruby.

They got to Ruby's door and Gabe knocked on it.

Ruby opened her dorm door as she yawned.

"Hi ya'll. What's going on?" Ruby asked super tired.

"I...I don't feel so good... " Clem said

"We were wondering if you could take a look at her." Gabe Said

"Oh sure sure. Bring her in." Ruby said as she opened the door wider so they could come in

Gabe brought Clem into Ruby's dorm and set her on the bed

"I had to vomit again... " Clem said holding her stomach

"Oh no." Ruby said as she came to the side of Clem's head and put her hand on her forehead to check for a temperature

"What? Is it bad? " Clem asked worried

"No, but it ain't good either." Ruby said still checking her forehead while Gabe watched worried

"Huh? That's strange." Ruby said

"What is strange? Talk to us Ruby, please" Clem said

"Your forehead isn't warm. So it doesn't look like you have a fever." Ruby said

"What is it then? " Clem asked

"I'm not sure." Ruby said putting her hand off Clem's forehead

"How many times did you vomit yesterday?" Ruby asked

"I don't know... About 4 times? " Clem said

"Wow, that's a lot." Ruby said as she took out her medical kit.

"And how long do you usually not feel good?" Ruby asked

"Only for one hour or something. After that hour I'm completely fine but I'm getting tired very fast" Clem said 

"Tired huh?" Ruby said as she began to think to herself

"My guess is that it could be food poisoning. Like maybe your body is rejecting some of the food you've been eating." Ruby said

"But why does this happen to me and not the others? " Clem asked

"Well sometimes food affects people's bodies differently. Like some people could be lactose intolerant and some people aren't. I'm not saying you're lactose intolerant, but it is an example." Ruby explained
