19|We were invited

"You almost done?" William asks from outside my door. 

"Almost" I've been getting ready for the party all that is left for me to do is put on my heels. 

"Done!" I open the door, William was leaning against the wall but straightens up when he sees me. 

"You are beautiful" I look down when I feel my skin getting hot, he chuckles and wraps his arms behind my back and I look up.

"Thank you, my handsome mate" I peck his lips, thank god for Matte lipstick. 

"You know I was thinking about you moving your stuff in my room, I can't sleep without you anymore" I love sleeping and waking up next to him and I can't sleep without him either last night was prove of that. 

"I love that idea" he smiles and we walk outside. 

They have decorated the field beautifully. I have always heard about this party even if our packs were enemies everyone wanted to be here but the only way that can happen is to be a member of the pack or be invited in. 

Occasionally a few people from each pack get invited and people would consider them celebrities. We go over to say hello to everyone, our unexpected guest were allowed to attend and they are all huddled together off to the side. 

After saying hello to the family William asks me to dance I look over to the dance floor and see no one dancing so I hesitate but then grab onto his hand and walk for the middle of the dance floor. He puts his arms around my waist as I put mine around his neck, he pulls me closer and we sway with the music. I see other people soon join in and I rest my head on his shoulder. 

"Do you know how much of a big deal this party was back at my other pack" I chuckle. 

"Really?" 

"Yeah, if anyone from out there got an invitation they were considered royalty" William laughs and I get off his shoulder to see him. 

"How much did you want one of these invitations in the past?" he raises his eyebrow. 

"I actually didn't care much for it" I confess. 

"Imagine if you would've gotten one, we would've to meet sooner" he caresses my chin.  

"I wouldn't have minded that at all" he smiles but we are interrupted by Lee tapping William's shoulder. 

"Do you mind if I dance with the Luna" William looks at me asking if I'm okay with it, even if I don't trust this guy I don't want to be rude and show that so I nod. 

William kisses my cheek and goes over to where his family is. Lee puts his hand on my back in a respectable place which I appreciate. 

"How are you enjoying the party?" I ask. 

"It's very good, we are having a good time" I smile awkwardly. 

"I've never been this close to one of you before without killing them" I stop and look up at him. 

"I'm sorry?" he releases me smiling and walk away. I go to question him further but I'm stopped by Melissa, I turn to her then back at Lee to see him and his men leave. 

"Come, my parents have a surprise for you?" Melissa starts to pull me towards her parents, I'll look into this after. 

"You guys have a surprise for me?" I ask and they nod. they lead me inside the packed house. 

Walking in I stop when I see them. My 'parents' are formally dressed, they stand up and walk over to me each wrapping their arms around me. I stay still as I stare in shock, I can't move until I feel William next to me. He offers them his hand for them to shake and introduces himself as if it was the first time he's seen them.
