Silverstar's P.O.V:

Silverstar tried to keep a stern look on her face. She was a leader for Starclan's sake! She had to show an example to her clan. "Tell me who he is."

Storm glanced at the wounded rogue for a second before turning back to Silverstar, "Not until you heal him."

Silverstar sighed, she did feel sympathetic about Storm but he needed to know that he should not have entered Lightclan's territory. "Ok, fine. Waterfly come over and heal them both."

Waterfly nodded and picked up her herbs, trotted up to Storm and started healing his wounds but the black tom growled at her and fluffed up his fur, "Cloud first!" Then he realised he had given away his friend's name and lashed his tail angrily.

Storm's P.O.V:

Once Cloud was patched up, Storm allowed Waterfly to heal him. He watched Cloud with a sad smile. The old tom just sat and watched, his eyes dull.

"Now. Tell me who he is." Silverstar ordered yet again.

Storm glanced at Cloud. Cloud nodded his head slowly and Storm turned back to Silverstar. "His name is Cloud. He is my guardian, he raised me from when I was a kit."

Silverstar looked at Cloud and flicked her tail at the fluffy tom, "Fluffystream, help Cloud to the elders den and make him a nest."

Storm threw himself in front of Cloud, "What are you going to do to him?" He demanded with a growl.

"We are giving him a place to stay." Silverstar answered crossly, "Back away from Cloud and let us help him."

Storm hissed and bared his teeth, "No way! You aren't going to go near Cloud!" He unsheathed his claws and lashed his tail.

Silverstar sighed and closed her eyes before nodding at Clearlight, "Restrain Storm." Her eyes flickered with sadness. "Do not hurt him, though."

But Storm was already grabbing Cloud by the scruff and pulling him backwards towards the camp entrance. Cloud grunted and released himself from Storm's grip and followed his lead.

They made it to the entrance without getting caught and raced through the forest. Paws thundered behind the two rogues and Storm risked looking behind him. He gasped. Silverstar, Fernpelt, Waterfly and a huge tiger were chasing after them. How did they get a tiger?!?!

Cloud pulled ahead of Storm and lead the way this time, twisting and turning through the undergrowth but the four cats stayed right at their tails.

"This way!" Cloud yowled and dived down a dark tunnel. Storm followed. At least the tiger won't fit down here...

They scurried through the dark tunnel, Storm used only his whiskers and nose to tell where he was. Cloud was right in front of him. The old tom seemed to know exactly where he was going.

At last, the tunnel started to get brighter and brighter and finally the two running cats burst from the tunnel and continued racing away.

Somehow, they had entered twolegplace and Storm was grateful. He knew this place. This is where he had grown up for the past 12 moons.

Cloud was beginning to tire out and his fast rhythm was starting to slow down. Storm nudged his hindquarters with his nose to keep him going. The wild cats were still following them but Storm could tell they were not comfortable in this terrain.

Storm saw the alleyway where he caught his first rat. It was the perfect place to hide and then ambush the wild cats. "Follow me!" He took the lead and turned into the alleyway.

Cloud slowed to a stop behind Storm as the two dashed behind a box. Storm heard the scrambling of paws as their chasers skidded to a halt and turned into the alley.

"Bad choice, rogues." Storm heard Fernpelt hiss. "It's a dead end."

"That's what you think." Storm whispered and spotted a hole in the fence behind them. He led Cloud to the hole and they squeezed through it and into the otherside where they started running again, slower this time.

_________

Time passed as Cloud and Storm trotted through twolegplace, back to their den. They had lost the wild cats in the alleyway.

Suddenly, Storm caught the scent of something he thought he would never smell again. "Lion's gang is here..." Storm whispered, fear clear in his voice.

Cloud nodded, "I know, I scented them." He stopped and looked around, his eyes weary.

Storm cowered behind Cloud. They had encountered Lion and his gang a season ago and they were extremely lucky to escape with only a few wounds.

These cats were the cruelest cats in twolegplace. They captured kittypets and loners and tortured them to death. Usually they avoided the other rogues, they stated that other rogues were 'brothers' and that brothers should stick together. But Cloud and Storm had disagreed and refused to join their gang. They ended up being attacked.

"Well, well." A deep voice rumbled, "Cloud and Storm. Never thought we'd see you two again." The shadow of a cat appeared from behind a twoleg rubbish box. His thick golden fur shone in the setting sun's rays.

Cloud stared at the large tom, "I could say the same about you, Lion."
