Clearlight's P.O.V:

Clearlight stretched onto his back and gazed up at the sky lazily. He let out a huge yawn and blinked his eyes sleepily. The sun was quite a while from sunset; it would probably be a while until the cats started going to their dens to sleep but Clearlight was already feeling sleepy.

"Having fun, father?" A cat padded to Clearlight's side. He kept his eyes closed and silently tasted the air with parted jaws. Stormwhisker and Bluestorm.

He cracked his eyes open and peeked at his son and daughter. "Yes I believe so." Clearlight chuckled softly.

((Quick A/N: Sorry for interrupting your reading... but I only just realised that there are a lot of 'storms' in the clan. There's Stormwhisker. Stormflame. Bluestorm. And another one I think haha. Oops. I suppose I like the prefix 'storm' sheesh. No hate plez :3 Ok continue reading now.))

Stormwhisker settled down beside Clearlight and glanced up at the sky. "Is it bad that we still feel slightly weary about Stormflame?" Stormwhisker asked. Bluestorm let out a mrrow of agreement as she lay down on Clearlight's other side.

Clearlight shrugged, "Well, you all know that I trust Stormflame with my life. But you are both entitled to your own opinions. So if you don't like Stormflame, don't like him! Follow your instincts but also be open for different paths and ideas. How would you feel if you were in Stormflame's place?"

Bluestorm answered sharply, "I would leave immediately and not turn back."

Clearlight countered, "But what about Stormflame's friends? Wouldn't he miss anyone? He also now has an apprentice. Would he abandon everything he has gained by living here to get away from the hardships or fight to secure a place within the ranks of the clan? Don't forget that I have pure Magiclan blood in my veins. I know what it is like to not fit in and look at me now!!"

Stormwhisker nodded in understanding, "I know. But as you said before, we should follow our instincts and right now they say to not trust Stormflame." Bluestorm nodded with her brother.

Clearlight nodded, "Alright." Then he tried to change the subject, "So how's hunting going? I hear you've started hunting in the Leaf-bare Hunting Grounds. Lots of prey there?"

Stormwhisker seemed glad to change the subject as well and explained to Clearlight about the hunting there. Eventually, the three of them dozed off as the sun started to set and the moon rose.

Stormflame's P.O.V:

"So how was your first tour of the territory?" Stormflame asked his apprentice, smiling.

Ashpaw pranced through the tall grass of the Leaf-bare Hunting Grounds, ecstatically. Stormflame let out a laugh as a sparrow went, squawking, into the air as Ashpaw nearly trampled it.

Whitetail and Cloudpaw were far in front. The two were walking in a perfect line, tails raised high over their backs, while Stormflame and Ashpaw massed around in the grass behind them.

Ashpaw pounced on an ant hill and attacked the fleeing ants with his paws. The young tom squealed energetically as he chased after the colony of ants. He didn't look where he was going and slammed straight into a rock. He fell backwards and Stormflame rushed to the apprentice's side to examine the tom for injuries.

Ashpaw meowed guiltily and rubbed his sore nose. Stormflame looked for any signs of blood. None. Stormflame picked Ashpaw up and nudged him back onto the path where Whitetail and Cloudpaw were far in the distance, "Let's calm down a little Ashpaw, otherwise Silverstar might make you a kit again for misbehaving!!"
