Future Colgate goaltender Carter Gylander was taken in the late rounds of the 2019 NHL entry draft. Gylander was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the last round of the 2019 NHL entry draft and they're get a phenomenal goaltender. Gylander had a save percentage of .915 and a 2.43 goals against average this season. Gylander is the 34th player in program history to be drafted into the NHL which is awesome for the future of this Colgate hockey program. I'm excited to see how this man develops both in juniors and here at Colgate with a coaching legend at the helm. Exciting things are happening at Colgate University.
