Longclaw and Crystal headed through the bracken slowly, Longclaw at the front and Crystal at the back. The two cats hadn't been walking for long but they were almost at the RiverClan camp.
"Crystal. When we get to camp, stick to my side. I'll summon the clan and introduce you to the remaining warriors, queens, kits, elders and the medicine cat." Longclaw said.
"Oh. Do. Do you think they will like me?" Crystal asked, Longclaw turned his head and looked at Crystal.
"Well you have been accepted by myself and Lightstar. If they don't accept you then they are mouse-brianed."
Crystal smiled, the two cats quickened their pace. The two cats raced along the moor lands and up a hill, once the cats were at the top of the hill they were able to see the RiverClan island camp.
"It looks amazing." Crystal purred, Longclaw chuckled before bounding down the hill. Crystal stook her head to snap herself out of the trance before scrambling after him. Longclaw came to a stop by the edge of the water In front of four flat stone in the water, Crystal panted as she stopped next to him.
"Is this how the clan get to camp?" She asked.
"Yes, but some cats would refer swim." Longclaw nodded. "Tho when the Leaf-Bare rain rolls in we will most likely have to swim." Crystal nodded before getting into a crouching position, she shook her hunches just like Echopaw had taught her. Longclaw did the same before leaping, he landed on the first stone then jumped onto the second one. Crystal shook her hunches more and swung her tail from side to side.
"Are you coming?" Longclaw called put before leaping to the third stone, Crystal nodded and jumped to the first stone. She shivered as the cold water lapped over her paws, She took a deep breath before leaping again. Longclaw lept onto the forth stone then onto bank, he turned his head to look a Crystal. His eyes watched closely as Crystal prepared to jump again, Crystal took another deep breath before jumping to the third stone. As her back paws met the stone her forepaws gave way into the dark water below, seconds laters the water lapped around her small body dragging her in.
"Ah!" She wailed as her head was dragged under, the water swirled around her as she struggled to move. Longclaw sprung forward across the stone and dove into the water, he gripped his teeth around the scruff of her neck. His pushed has heard as he could through the water, moments past and the top of the water lay still.
Splash!
Longclaw last out of the darkness of the water and onto the bank, he placed Crystal down and panted hard before shaking his fur. Crystal coughed as she stood up and panted.
"Are you okay young kit?" Longclaw panted less as he spoke, Crystal was a little shaken but nodded. Seconds later a large group of cats bounded out of the camp entrance and over to he two cats.
Longclaw looked up from Crystal and at the remaining clan members, most of them were elders, kits and queens.
"Welcome back Longclaw." Purred Hollytail (the RiverClan medicine cat), Longclaw dipped his head.
"Thank you Hollytail, I trust everything is okay." Longclaw replied wormly, Hollytail nodded. Crystal eased up at the happy atmusfear the clan seamed to have for one and other, but that did not last long what a deep anger filled hiss echoed from the back of the group.
The cats split apart to show a large white Tom cat, the cats stared at Crystal then at the Tom cat before whispering among each other. Crystal gulped as she look at the Tom then at Longclaw for some kind of reassurance but found none, Longclaw had a worried look on his face but still stood strong and proud. The large Tom plodded out slowly, his head left high as did do.
"Hello Sharpclaw." Longclaw greated, Crystal dipped her head.
"Longclaw. Why is SHE here?" Sharpclaw snapped, a small sigh came from Longclaw's muzzle.
"Crystal is here because she is our new ClanMate." Longclaw said calmly, Sharpclaw snarled then turned his gaze to Crystal. Crystal gulped, his gaze felt as if it was the weight of a monster. She quickly shifted her weight from her left paws to her right paws and held her head up high.
Sharpclaw rolled his eyes and tutted. "She's too small."
"You were that size when you were younger." Longclaw sighed, the remaining clan cats stared at the three stood infront of them still whispering and sharing glances.
"When I was kitted yes. But by the time I was an apprentice I was twice the size she is." Sharpclaw said as he turned to Longclaw.
"Did Lightstar agree to her being here?"
