Hey guys, Just a warning to you all. This chapter will show signs of self harm, abuse, and some forms of depression. If this is something that your not a fan of, you have been warned.
Night after the Stain battle Himiko POV:"Uhh, I'm so tired. Why do underground heroes have to do their work at 2 A.M. anyway?" "I know it's tough, but we only do this to avoid any unwanted attention by the media. Me and your teacher Mr. Aizawa do this almost every night." I get out of my slump a bit as I hear this. "Does it get easier?" "Enough where if you do it a few more times, your body's gonna adjust a little better." I start to take off my support gear before Dabi starts to speak up again. "Come to think of it, this was really difficult on the Midoriya's when they came with me and Eraser on the first few outings." "WAIT, IZU AND OCHA WENT ON NIGHT PATROLS WITH YOU!?" "Oh yeah, they never mentioned it. You mind keeping it a secret for now, I don't want to get on that guys bad side if I can avoid it." I only nod my head in knowing from second hand experience how scary Izu can really be. "Anyway, you can take tomorrow morning to sleep in a little longer. I need to meet a friend tomorrow." Once he walks out, I stand there in deep thought. 'I wonder who's the friend hes talking about?'
Next morning:
I get up to the sound of a door close. In that instant, I change and rush out of the guest room. Once out, I lock the door to Dabi's apartment and rush down the street to trail after him. 'Ok, so hes wearing a decent pair of black jeans, a white shirt, regular shoes, and a black unzipped thin hoodie. Not that of a date, but who knows?' I follow him to a small cafe where I see a girl with green long hair meet up with him. 'Is that?' I see the girls face turn to meet Dabi to show her as someone I already know. "RAGDOLL?!" I cover my mouth and hid behind a corner to make sure they didn't hear me. After a minute, I see them go into the cafe. I come in very cautiously to avoid both of them seeing me. I sit close enough to them to start hearing their conversation.
Touya POV:
"It's definitely been too long, hasn't it Shirotoko?" Touya, you know you don't have to use my last name. You can just call me Tomoko, we've known each other for six years now." "I guess your right." I recently got the chance to reconnect with an old friend from an internship I took back in my first year of UA. Tomoko Shirotoko or as people know her better as 'Ragdoll', was a sidekick to a telepathic hero by the name of Jet Thoughts. We met after I accepted his offer from the previous sports festival and have had a nice friendship ever since. After I became an underground hero though, my ability to meet up with Tomoko became less and less. I felt bad since she was always a nice person to me when we talked. I honestly was really happy I was able to get the job at UA, since I can now lower the night shifts a bit and have the somewhat normal social life we had before back.
"So, hows it feel knowing your gonna be a staff member at our old school again?" "A little uneasy, but I can manage. Not only that, but I can cut back on some of the night hours for hero work to become a creature of the day again." We both start lightly chuckling at this comment. "The mighty Dabi, underground hero by night, kind and caring teachers aid by day." "Oh haha, that's hilarious. Says the girl that can make the whole country have power for a month with all her energy." "Maybe not the whole country. At least a nice sized city or two." She crossed her arms and showed a sign of face irritation to make me smirk a little.
"So, how are things with your girlfriend Freida?" I start to lose my smile at the sound of my ex. "We actually broke it off a few years back." "WHAT, WHY!?" I begin to sigh as I tell her the reason. "Because she didn't like the fact my scars were so bad." Tomoko only looked at me with a confused face. "About four months before we broke it off, things were going really well. We never really did anything before this one night so she never saw my scars up close and personal. I did warn her that they were bad a bunch of times, but she must have not expected them to be as bad as they were. On this very night, she accidentally spilled a drink on me when we were at my home. I was wearing a white shirt at the time, so she saw a bit of the scars. I didn't think anything of this and just changed the shirt with her in the room. This was probably one of my dumbest discussions ever made. Once she saw the scars, she began to get pale and try to avoid looking at me for the rest of the night she was there."
