Trauma Never Leaves

Trauma is always a funny thing. No matter how much you fight it, it could always find a way to come back and hurt you. This is a chapter on how a small change Hatsume wanted to do for Izuku's suit opened some old and bad memories of Overhaul on class 1-A's little snowball.

Izuku POV:

Today started like any other day for me. Morning classes were dry, but not too difficult. The last bell rang for lunch, and me and Ocha were getting up to grab the kids. "Izuku before you head out, the Support Course wants to see you about a possible change to your hero suit." I look at Mr. Aizawa a little confused. "I never asked for a change in it though." "Apparently, one of the students had an idea and wanted to push it by you first. No harm in seeing what it is though." "*sigh* I guess your right." I look over to Ocha who gives me a green light to say shes got it. "Hey Tsu, do you mind helping Ocha with the kids? It's a bit of a job for one of us and I wanna try and get to the support course before they leave for lunch." "Don't worry about it, I get it *ribbit*." I watch as they head to Nezu's office, while I go the other way.

I make it in front of the Support Courses main door and I had to admit, it was a spectacle. A giant door made of complete reinforced steel. 'Guess they really don't want to have people steal whats inside.' I begin to knock, when a sudden gut feeling told me to get out of the way. I trust it and avoid the doors blowing off. "I told you not to cross those wires!" "Sorry Mr. Power Loader. I just couldn't resist." 'She sounds familiar.' I look to the sound of the females voice and notice it's from the girl that me and Ocha met at the sports festival. Hatsume was her name, I think?

"Hey a new face, what can I do for ya?" 'New face? Is she serious, or just a bad at jokes.' "My names Izuku Midoriya, and I was told-" "NEVER HEARD OF YA! Anyway, I'm off to make new babies, bye~." I start to be a bit agitated at this. I turn to Power Loader to try and salvage my point in being here. "Power Loader sir, I was told that you had a possible suit upgrade for me?" "Ah yes, sorry about my studen-" "A SUIT UPGRADE?! THEN THAT MEANS YOUR FROM THE HERO COURSE! I'm Mei Hatsume, soon to be worlds famous inventor. Pleased to meet ya!" 'Did she honestly forget how she just snubbed me just now?' "I'm Izuku Midoriya, now can we please just get on with this?"

We all head into the classroom to a desk with a mountain of whatever they are beside it (Hatsume's workplace). "Hatsume here had seen the design of your costume Mr. Midoriya, and took it upon herself to make a gas mask that she thought would go with your suit very well." "Just a minute. I know I put it to the side somewhere. Aha, there you are." Hatsume takes a small box out and shows me it's contents.
