𝓔ddie went home after his drug-out first day. He managed to find out his class schedule, which wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be. Not much happened due to it being too stressful for everyone, including the teachers. He had first period with Stanley, second with Ben, third with Stanley and Bill and fourth with Beverly as well as everyone else. PE, which wasn't Eddie's strongest suit and anyone could tell by just looking at the newly sophomore. But he wasn't alone in that class for everyone to pick fun at him like usual.
As of now he was in bed, it being nearly 8pm. His mom always made him go to bed at a reasonable hour, so around eight or nine. She wouldn't allow Eddie to go to bed any later than that where it got to double digits, she wanted him to be well rested, whatever that meant.
"Eddie bear, did you take your pill?" Sonia asked out from the hallway. Eddie gritted his teeth with a quiet yet annoyed sigh. "I can fall asleep just fine on my own." Eddie stated, not knowing why there was a big issue with it. Sonia shook her head as she had the porcelain pill in her large hand. Eddie looked at her perfectly polished pink fingernails. "Don't talk back. I'll get water." She made her way to the kitchen. Eddie looked down at the pill in the palm of his hand. It was large and white. If you chewed it, it would only taste worse and he had to learn that the hard way, nearly coughing and hacking from it — God, it was the worst.
Sonia came back with a small cup filled with water and handed it to her son as she waited patiently. Eddie stared at her weirdly, feeling an uneasy flip in his stomach as he set the pill on his tongue and took a sip of the water. He swallowed and gave her a slight smile. Sonia copied his smile. "Well, off to bed I go." She said as she went to the door. "Night." She told him. Eddie just nodded toward her direction. Sonia shut the light off and closed his door softly before going to her bedroom.
Eddie's brown eyes widened, quickly getting up and running to his bathroom. He held his hand out and spit the pill out into his palm, tasting the vile dullness of flavor. He grimaced and flushed it down the toilet so she wouldn't find it in the trash later and confront him. The sixteen-year-old heaved, still tasting the condiments of the pill before he doubled over, his stomach colliding with the hard toilet lid. He shut his eyes tight and emptied his stomach of the lunch he had hours before.
Eddie had a very weak immune system and tasting something like that didn't do much justice for him. He sighed, attempting to catch his breath as he sat on the bathroom tiled floor, wiping his mouth with a wash cloth he got from the silver rack above the toilet.
Once his hands stopped shaking vigorously, he got up and washed his hands and brushed his teeth. He went back to his bedroom and sat down on the bed, rubbing his eyes that went blurry from the tears, which he couldn't really do anything about it.
