𝓢tanley woke up to something absurd. There was a note at his desk which he assumed was from Eddie due to the 'E' marked at the end of a question written on it. He didn't exactly know how to respond to it at the time, but he put it in his desk drawer just in case so his parents couldn't find it. He sighed softly as he ran a hand through his hair, laying back down and closing his eyes stressfully.
He couldn't believe he it. The night he got grounded, his dad found one of his private journals in the bathroom. It had a variety of diary entrees and sketches of same sex couples, specifically boys. The journal pained his father to see so he wanted to try and get him away from all men as well as all of his friends, because who was more than a friend to their son that had him thinking all of these things?
THREE DAYS LATER
Saturday morning. It was eery and quiet in Eddie's house. He was in his room wondering if he should go out into the kitchen or the living room to see what his mom was doing, but it was too quiet for anything right now. Like a haunted living space.
He finally decided to get up from bed and come out of his room slowly. He went to the living room to see his mom on the couch with a stern look on her big face. Eddie stared blankly, a bit worried. He was scared, because his mom never looked very bleak as much as she did right now.
Mom?" He questioned. Sonia looked at him with a calm glare. "I checked around your room yesterday." She said, unfolding her arms. In her hands were the pills that Eddie was hiding and not taking, making his eyes widen. He stiffened and looked at his mom quietly.
But suddenly a huge wave of anger overcame him. "You raided my room?" He began, brows furrowed. Sonia stood up, revealing a familiar cassette as well as a piece of paper. "Who's Richie?" She asked. Eddie fell silent for a second. "Why do you care?" He asked as he folded his arms. "Because you're my, not anyone else's, but my responsibility and I deserve to know what's going on in your life." She raised her voice.
Eddie's eyes began to fill with angry tears, thinking this was all so unfair. "Ohhh, here come the waterworks. Are you gonna cry now?" She asked as she scoffed. "You always do this! Just to get out of the obvious trouble you're in!" She yelled. Eddie had gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. "Can you just once in your life fuck off already?!" He practically screamed. "Watch your mouth." Sonia warned.
Eddie had began to cry now, but he wasn't sad. No, he was just infuriated. "Shut up! Just shut up!" Eddie began to make his way to his room. "I have a right to be angry, Eddie. All you do is come home and not talk to me about how you're doing or what you're doing-" In his room now, he stopped at the door.
