𝓔ddie went home that night just on time so his mom wouldn't find any issue to yell at him. He had gone to his bedroom and sat down, ready to talk to Richie. Only he forgot he had to wait till twelve. He knew he didn't have to put his hand up or anything, but he wished the twelve rule didn't apply either. He sighed and rested his back against the wall, feeling his eyes get heavy as he began to fall asleep.

Usually he didn't take naps, but i'm this case he needed time to hurry up and he didn't think of anything better to do with his time so this was the best thing at the moment.

TWO HOURS LATER

Eddie woke up to a quiet house. He made sure to go downstairs and see if his mother wasn't cooking so he wouldn't have to worry about her coming in his room while he was with a certain someone. He went back up to his room once he saw his mom asleep on the sofa and softly closed the door behind him, now sitting down on his bed.

"Richie?" He called, his eyes closed. There was a light feeling in his chest as if there was now a presence in his bedroom. He opened his eyes and met with the very familiar face of Richie. The brunette smiled, seeing the boy do the same. "Hey." Eddie greeted. "What's up?" Richie asked, humming as he crossed his legs and had all his focus on Eddie and only Eddie.

"Uh, I have a favor actually." Eddie began, making Richie gain his attention. "Mmh...and that is?" He did not know what he was going to ask, but he hoped it was entertaining or somewhat interesting because Richie was very bored.

"My friend...Stanley, he wasn't at school today. Do you know how to reach him? Or how to send him a message or something? I saw his dad and he said he wasn't allowed out and I'm concerned." Eddie said his best. Richie raised his brows, staring at him. The brunette stared back, folding his arms. "What?" He self consciously asked, looking away from his eyes.

"Nothing. I've just never seen someone care about their friends as much as you do." Richie explained, resting his hands on the blanket below him. Eddie nodded slowly. "Oh..." He trailed off. "Well?" He had asked, wondering if he could help him out with it. "Yeah, I can help." Richie nodded, looking around.

He pointed around the room wearingly. "Do you have anything of his?" He asked, needing that to do so. He couldn't do it without something he owned. Eddie got up and went to his closet, pulling out a sweater. It was olive green and a bit bigger than him. "I have this." He set it on the bed, sitting back down. "Perfect." Richie had picked it up.

"I need a piece of paper...you gotta write down what you wanna say to him." He instructed quietly. Eddie nodded and grabbed his backpack, ripping out a piece of paper from his notebook. He grabbed a pen and began writing in very large letters on it.

ARE YOU OKAY? - E.

Richie glanced at the paper before he took it and crumbled up the paper, looking around with a sigh. He figured Eddie didn't have a lighter, so he took out his own and lit the paper on fire, making Eddie confused. He held it until the entire end was almost gone as his other hand was resting on Stanley's jacket on the bed. He had his eyes closed. Eddie watched closely, very curious.

After the fire went out, the paper was gone. Richie opened his eyes, meeting with Eddie's brown ones. "What happened?" He asked. Richie handed him the jacket. "It worked." He said successfully with a slight smile, surprised since he hasn't done that in a while. "How does he get it?" Eddie asked, hanging up the sweatshirt. "Uh, do you always ask this many questions?" Richie teased, seeing Eddie roll his eyes. Richie noticed the glint of worry in his eyes which made him bite his lip slightly. "He'll see it." Richie confirmed.

Eddie nodded, sitting back down. He yawned as Richie glanced at the clock, seeing it was one in the morning. "You should sleep." He quietly said, now getting up. Eddie shrugged, cuddling into his blue floral blankets. Richie stared for a moment before he began to grab his lighter, ready to go.

"Wait," Eddie suddenly said, catching Richie off guard. He paused, looking at him. Eddie was a bit alone right now and he wanted company, even if he was tired. "Stay?" He softly pleaded, keeping his eyes on him. Richie chewed on his bottom lip, now thinking. "Yeah...okay." He nodded, sitting down on the chair by his desk. Eddie sighed tiredly, closing his eyes. Richie sat for a moment, staying quiet. He noticed how soft Eddie's hair seemed and how the boy never even thought about taking his ring off for a small quarter of a second.

He smiled small and rested his head in his hand, turning on the radio quietly. "Night, Eds." Richie said before leaving for the remaining of the night.
