My eyes open to the sound of shuffling in the living room. Jett must be awake. I check my cell phone. It's eight o'clock in the morning. I'm not ready to go back to Savannah. I'm not ready to leave Jett. We only had a few days together and now we're about to be separated yet again. Why did I tell my mother I would come back home anyway? I know she's going to be busy with Brad. If anything, I'll get some extra time with my friends. I miss Boston, Mason, and even Zane. My bedroom door opens and Jett pokes his head in.

"Good morning beautiful." He says smiling.

"Mmm...maybe I don't have to go. I'm not ready to leave you." I say frowning.

Jett walks over to my bed and takes a seat next to me. "You have to go. You haven't seen your mom in awhile and you've already told her you'd come home."

I roll my eyes. "I know."

"Besides, I'm curious to see how she'll take you and I being together." He adds.

Almost instantly I feel nervous. I forgot about telling my mother and the rest of my friends about Jett. My mother has always wanted me to be focused on school, getting the best grades, and eventually a having wonderful career. She never mentioned anything about having boyfriends or even marriage for me. I'm assuming she's not going to take the news well. She'll think that Jett is just a distraction and will inevitably ruin my life, I'm sure. There's no putting it off. It has to be done.

"I need to get dressed. I told her I would be home around lunch." I tell him.

Jett leaves the room so that I can get ready and gather my bags. I take my time, trying to prolong the trip. Once I'm dressed I walk out into the living room. Jett has all of the blankets folded up and the living room is cleaned. I turn to my left and see him standing in the kitchen. He's holding a cup of coffee and a cheese Danish.

"How did you make coffee?" I ask stunned.

"With your new coffee pot." Jett says pointing to the kitchen counter.

I look at the new, shiny coffee pot sitting on the kitchen counter. My mouth opens in awe as I walk over to it. It's black and chrome and absolutely beautiful. I'm sure everyone would think I'm crazy for calling a coffee pot beautiful, but I love coffee that much. I turn to Jett with my eyes wide.

"When did you do this?" I ask shocked.

"I brought it in this morning and set it up. I've been driving around with it in my car since Friday." He says.

I throw my arms around his neck and eagerly kiss his lips. "Jett, you're amazing! Thank you so much for this. I've been thinking about getting a coffee pot for a while now. This is the sweetest gesture."

Jett smiles at me in return. "Anything for you."

He hands me the cup of coffee and I immediately take a sip. "Mmm... this is so good."

"Good. I added some creamer in it that tastes like cinnamon rolls." He says laughing.

Jett and I sit on the couch as I finish my cup of coffee and we split the cheese Danish. Once the cup is empty I check my watch. I need to get going or else I'm going to be late. I don't want my mother blowing up my phone because I'm not there on time. I put the cup in the sink and walk around my apartment turning all the lights off. I meet Jett back at my door and we walk out to my car together.

I lean my forehead against his. "I'm going to miss you."

"Why don't we just say "see you soon"?" he asks.

"Okay. See you soon." I say with a laugh.

Jett pulls me in for one last embrace. I don't want to let him go. It's just for the week I remind myself. I get in the car and wave as he walks away. I roll my window down and turn my music up. Savannah, here I come.
