The help

Note: Yami is 20 and Yugi is 19

The next day you woke up around noon. You went about your routine before pulling up newspapers and articles on your iPad. You needed to find a new job. You slowly zoned out into your own world. Your thoughts were attacking you at once. Yami helped you last night, but what was he doing at the bar? Would you lose your job from the incident? You were thinking so hard, you bit into your lip when the doorbell suddenly rang. You slipped into your slippers, opening the door. There before you stood Yami and Yugi,

"Hi (y/n)! I hope you don't mind us visiting you on a weekend"

You softly chuckled at the short male. He was so considerate of you. Instantly you felt good vibes from the two. Just by seeing them. You opened the door wider, allowing them in. Yami handed you a bouquet of bright red roses. You felt your heart accelerate in speed knowing you crossed his mind. You thanked him quietly before seating the two,

Although you looked Yugi in the eye, you couldn't look at Yami. You didn't know what he would do. Would you lose your job?

"Would you two like anything to drink?"

Yugi nodded shyly before asking,

"Can I have a coffee? I forgot to make one this morning"

You smiled at the young man as you headed into the kitchen,

"I'll help you (y/n)"

Before you could comment, Yami quickly followed behind you. Now away from earshot, he asked the million dollar question,

"Are you alright?"

You glanced at him before pulling out a cup and putting it into the coffee maker,

"I'm alright as of now. I'm a big girl Yami I can handle it"

Yami smirked slightly at your retort. He was glad you were back to your typical self,

"Well, now that I know you're doing well, you'll be fine to come into work on Monday"

You gazed at the male placing your hands together in as a sign of hope,

"You're not firing me?"

"Firing you? Did you think I would after the incident?"

You looked back down stirring the coffee before mumbling,

"Maybe"

Yami softly placed his hands on your shoulders to make you look at him,

"Just because this incident took place, it does not mean you will lose your job. There was no interference with your job or your work ethic."

You nodded before handing Yami a cup,

"I understand. Please take this to Yugi before he starts worrying"

Yami released a light chuckle before leaning down to your eye level,

"Please take care of yourself, okay?"

You watched his figure disappear from sight. With his help, you felt like you could do anything. If there's anything you learned from Yami, it's that he can bear the weight of the world on his shoulders as if it's no issue to him. He was very responsible and very wise for his age. He seemed unique in your eyes. You appreciated him and Yugi both.
