The café you worked in was opened from 7 am to 10 pm. Tonight happened to be karaoke night. There were a few times you sang, but it usually took place earlier in your shift. Yami never got to witness your performances and you planned to keep it that way. You were very insecure about your voice. On this particular night, luck was not on your side.

The speakers blasted as a couple of youngsters sung on stage. They decided Yo (Excuse me miss) by Chris Brown was a great song to sing to their girlfriends. Two of them purposely belted out their notes terribly, earning them laughs from the crowd. The youngster in the middle of the two sang very beautifully. You softly bopped your head to beat. You couldn't help the butterflies in your stomach. You thought back to Yami. As you walked around, serving the customers you slowly sunk into your emotions. This surely was an 'in my feelings' song. You made a mental note to download it later. The thought of Yami made you feel overwhelmed. You couldn't explain how you felt. Your heart pounded with such passion. You wanted to feel his hands on yours. You wanted to see his eyes glimmer in their beauty. Mimi, your coworker saw the look in your eye,

"Someone's in Love huh?"

You playfully punched the girl before grabbing some plates,

"I have no idea what you're talking about"

You quickly served your last section table before heading back to the counter. Mimi continued smirking at you mischievously. You rose an eyebrow,

"What's up with you?"

She played with a strand of her, twirling it,

"Oh... it's nothing... it's just that I signed you up for karaoke tonight"

You almost choked the women. You deeply inhale before exhaling,

"Why would you do that!?"

Mimi hurriedly hushed you before resting her palms on your shoulders,

"Look, I know about that one guy who stares at you. Judging by the way you reacted, you confirmed my suspicions that he is the one you've been acting all woozy for"

You darkly chuckled before glaring at the woman,

"I can't go up there and sing when he's here!"

Mimi was fast to interrupt your excuse. She placed her hands on her hips,

"And why not?"

You bit your lip in contemplation. You couldn't think of a good excuse that didn't sound childish. You sheepishly played with your hands,

"Well... I'm shy to sing in front of him, what if I mess up?"

Mimi scoffed at your response. She looked straight into your eyes with determination,

"(Y/n). You will do AMAZING! You got this girl! You're beautiful, independent and talented! You've done so much in your life that you didn't think you would get to do. You'll do fine, I promise you he will love it. You just need to channel all of your feelings into the song. Then walla! A nice freshly sung bop"

You crossed your arms, lost in thought,

"Hm I don't know Mimi"

She glared at you before shoving you up the stage stairs,

"Well too damn bad (y/n), you're up now. Have fun and stare at me if you get scared, BYE!"

You decided you'd give it your all. There was literally no time for you to panic. It was time to face this head on. The announcer quickly introduced you,

"Hello everyone! Please welcome our next singer on the stage (Y/N) (L/N)! Who will be singing four-page letter by Aaliyah!"

You were pulled into the center of the stage before bright lights blinded your face. You mentally cursed Mimi for picking your favorite love song. The crowd before you cheered loudly. They sure enjoyed it when you sang. The music finally began. You slowly allowed it to consume you before signaling the crowd to clap. You steadily grooved, moving your body from side to side. You took a deep breath before singing,
