Over the past two months, you got closer with the twins. You built a strong bond with the brothers. Specifically with Yami. You would never admit it, but you had a small crush on the older one. Both of the brothers were so noble and humble. Even when they deserved it, they never fully took the credit for their actions. Yugi was incredibly sweet and caring, he instantly brightened your day, but you felt something for Yami.

Yami was very reserved and kept to himself, but little by little he revealed himself to you. He was loyal, determined, and very confident in his abilities. You admired him so much because he was everything you hoped to be. You knew Yami had some sort of past which caused him to grow into a natural leader. Not only was his personality amazing to you, but he was also a sight for sore eyes, in your opinion at least. He took care of himself. You pondered on your feelings as you took your lunch break. You carefully blew on your ramen, not wanting to burn your mouth. Your thoughts were interrupted when Mai stepped in front of you,

"Well someone is having a good meal"

You swallowed before smiling,

"Care to join my loner self?"

She pulled a chair out vertically, before eating her own food. You both laughed and giggled at your female antics until the love of her life came into view,

"Hey look! It's Joey"

You wiggled your eyebrows suggestively at Mai before she swatted her hand at you in disdain,

"As much as I like Wheeler, I can't seem to fully understand him. I mean you who plays duel monsters with their girlfriend?!"

A sudden slam on the table caused you both to look up,

"Hiya (y/n)"

Joey slid closer to Mai before showing her a flower he bought,

"I got this just fa you Mai"

The young woman blushed faintly. You began laughing. You allowed them to have their romantic moment as you ate your food,

"(Y/n) why don't cha get with Yami?"

You sulked into your seat. Joey was always so persistent when it came to you dating Yami. Mai clapped her hands in excitement,

"Oh yes! Both of you are lovely together, haven't you considered it?"

You rubbed your neck in embarrassment,

"Ehe.. heheheh um I don't think he feels that way for me"

Mai and Joey looked at each other in surprise before laughing. You glanced at the two clueless,

"That's a very good joke. I didn't know you were sucha clown!"

Mai picked up her water,

"I'm pretty sure he likes you (y/n). You just don't see the way he looks at you"

Joey scarfed down his food,

"She's right. He looks at ya like moneybags looks at the blues eyes white dragon. If not that, then he looks at ya even betta!"

Mai sighed at the thought of love before standing up with Joey,

"We'll be going now. Take care of yourself. And eat your food for once!"

You chuckled before waving them off. Did Yami really like you? You never really saw anything hinting that he did. Both of you have gotten closer, but you haven't picked up on anything. You sighed brushing it off. You decided you'd worry about love later.
