CHAPTER THIRTY ONE: THE PARK

I'm halfway through my latte- I've been waiting for the mysterious Zach for about 10 minutes now

Z: Billie?
I look up and see Zach-one of my best friends Zach-holding a picnic basket
B: Hey Zach.What are you doing here?
I say smiling
Z: I'm meeting up with someone for a picnic
he says sitting down next to me
B:oh my god same here and how ironic-their names also Zach
Z: that's so crazy cuz I'm meeting up with someone called Billie too
B: oh my god no way
Okay. Okay. This could still be a coincidence
Z: yeah...wait you're meeting up with a...guy?
B: yeah but...wait you're meeting up with a...girl?
Z: well...yes but I-
Ouch.
B: oh
Z: Billie...it also stings to hear the you're meeting up with a guy so you can't get mad at me fo-
B: I'm not mad
I say completely lying

I watch as joy spreads across his face again. I don't know why but I can't help but feel a tad bit jealous. I'm not doing anything wrong. Heck I'm only meeting up with this guy
A) to prove to Zee that he's a different Zach
B) to clear the air between us and to let him know that the kiss was a mistake because I already have feelings for Daniel-I mean Jonah...I mean dan-it's complicated

Z: how long have you been waiting here? This Zach guy must not be a gentlemen like me if he makes you wait
B: haha not long
Z: hey Bil?
B: yeah
Z: I'm still very interested in you, I still love you know
B: I know
Z: I'm only meeting up with this Billie so I can tell that I just want to be friends because you're the only one for me
I don't know what to say so I just smile
B: I'm also meeting up with this guy to tell him that I just wanna be friends
He smiles and we stare at each other for what seems like forever
Z:I know for a fact that shes's gonna show up
He says breaking the silence
B: oh really,how?
Z: she gave me her charms
Stay calm. Anyone could have the same charm as me
B: can I see?

He hands me the charms and it's an exact duplicate of mine.No, this has to be a coincidence.

B: how strange coz I also gave my friend my charms so that he knows I'll show up
Z: no way, this is crazy!
B: yeah
I glance down at the time and he's half an hour late
B: I'm gonna call him
Z: yes do that then I'll call her after you've called him
B: okay

I click on his number and press my phone against my ear. Zachs phone starts ringing.don't panic. His must have just ringed coincidentally. Best friend Zach answers his phone and I hear his voice beaming through my phone into my ear...this is not happening

B: oh my god...you're Zach?
Z: you're Billie?
B: we kissed?
Z: we kiss- we kissed! This is the happiest day of my life
He says with a huge smile
B: woah, wait. What were you doing at the maskeret ?
Z:I had a gig there. Not my type of place but it was good money and publicity. What were you doing there?
B: it was my dads business partners party and he dragged me along for some reason
Z: makes sense
B: yeah, what a small world
Z: well...I guess this is for us then

He gets up and starts laying out the blankets and food. My mind is still spinning while I'm trying to processing this. I Insist on helping him but he doesn't allow me to.When he's done he offers me his hand and I take it

Z: my lady
B: thank you kind sir
I sit down and we start munching on some strawberries and Nutella while Zach scoots up next to me
B: I still can't believe we kissed, it's -
Z:amazing
B: I just don't get it
Z: what?
B: why you or anyone for that matter would like me
Z: are you kidding? Have you met yourself?
B: yeah and I'm probably the most unswagiest person out there- Nope, I already regret saying that. I'm sorry
I say super embarrassed
Unswagiest? What even is that! Zee would have literally been so grossed out at that and I wouldn't blame her
Z: that, that's why I like you
He says laughing
B: not following
Z: your irreplaceable sense of humor and personality and a load of other things. Ever since I saw you I fell in love and have wanted nothing more than for you to be mine or at least get a taste of those soft, cherry scented lips
B: zach I-
Z: could you be quiet, I'm trying to express my love for here
B: haha, no I was just gonna say my lips are strawberry scented not cherry
Z: god I love you
