I wake up to my parents asking if I'm okay. I sit up drenched in tears and sweat and out of nowhere I start screaming at them
B: I have to help him! He needs me! M: help who honey? B: Finn! I saw him! I have to help him! M: you can't help him sweetie B: yes I can! He told me it wasn't a hit and run! I told you that's not how he died I just knew it! D: sweetie we've been through this. The police came to the conclusion of a hit and run so that is how he died. B: no it's no- D: that's enough now, the sooner you forget about this the better B: mom! I say looking at her hoping she will back me up M: go back to bed honey
They both give me a kiss before leaving. I sit up trying to process the information I remember from the dream. It was a sign from Finn to me...he was trying to tell me that he didn't die in a hit and run and that it had something to do with his work. He never really told anyone what he did for work but we didn't question it because we trusted him. I can't think of anything else so I head to his room to start my investigation. As soon as I get in there I start crying, I haven't been in here since the funeral. I pull myself together, I need to look for clues or anything that might tell me more about his work. I look everywhere from under his bed to his draws, desk and shelves. The only place left to look is in his wardrobe. I only see clothes so I get in it to get a better look. I romage around
B: ow!
My foot hits something hard so I look down and find a metal box the size of a small bedside table. I try to take it out but it's nailed down. I discover that this mysterious box has buttons with numbers on the front of it, it's clearly a safe. Why would Finn have a safe? And where would he get it from? I need to know what's inside but his am I gonna crack the code?! I our birthday,my moms and my dads...no luck. I try his phone passcode, his number, my moms and dads but still nothing. I try his favorite number but still nothing. I know this probably won't work but I'm desperate so I try it anyway, I fail in my lucky number and I hear a click and to my surprise the safe door opens and swings back and forth. I can't believe he would use my lucky number as a code to something that looks so important. Finn knew how much I love the number 8
B: wherever you are up there I say looking up and smiling B: know that I love you with my whole heart
Inside the safe I find a black zipped up bag and a whole stack of papers and envelopes. I open the bag first and inside it I find plain black clothes? From hoodies and pants to shoes and tees all plain black with a small, space grey, weird looking logo type of thing on the corner of the clothes somewhere barely noticeable. I recognize these clothes, Finn used to always wear them when leaving the house to go to work. I assumed it was the uniform. I take the clothes out and get a another look inside the bag. I find a small crumpled piece of paper that looks like a map of some sort. I realize that I can spot the location of my house in the map except...there's a red X marked on my house and a black X marked on another part of the map. Maybe that's the location of his work! I carefully put the map in my pocket and start looking through the papers saving the envelopes for last. They all seemed to have these random names written in black and crossed out in red? I take a picture on my phone of one of the papers

I found loads of these but this one was the only one that had one name not crossed out and...it was Finn's name? This name is written differently to the rest and it kinda looks like finn's writing? I put the papers to the side and started looking through the envelopes. They all looked pretty full so I carefully opened one trying not to damage anything inside it. I open it to find stacks of a hundred dollar bills! Where did Finn get this much money?! There had to be at least $2000 in those. I pack everything back in the safe except for the map that I had in my pocket. I quietly tip toed back to my room and attempted to get some sleep before I had to be up for school in a couple hours but I knew it would be impossible for me to sleep. I do t want my parents finding out about the investigation, I know they'll just think I'm being silly and tell me to drop it like they always do. No one can know about this. Not Jack, Jonah,Daniel,Zach,Corbyn and not Emma. Not even Zendaya. I don't want to put them in any danger.
