I slipped out of my house at the crack of dawn the following morning, after leaving my mother a note saying I was heading for Germany.
I drove to the airport and boarded the flight to Germany. My mother thankfully booked me a window seat and not an isle seat. I sat down, plugged my AirPods into my ears and completely ignored the stranger sitting next to me.
"Excuse me, Young miss, but aren't you too young to be in the business class section without your parents?", one of the flight attendants asked me.

I sighed, knowing why she asked. I'm relatively short for my age.

I showed her my ID card and she immediately smiled.

"Oh my! We are the same age, I'm 5 months older than you.", she stated, while pushing the red hair out of her face.

I smiled weakly.

"Would you like some tea? Coffee? Or some wine?" She offered as she continued rattling all the beverages on the drinks menu.

"No thank you, I will pass up your offer this time. May I have a blanket and pillow?" I asked.

The stranger in the seat next to me replied before the auburn haired woman could open her mouth:
"There is a blanket and a pillow next to your life jacket, underneath your seat. You would've known that if you were detail oriented."

I was flabbergasted.

"That insult was unnecessary, stranger.", I replied coldly.
"Your question was unnecessary, madam.", he countered just as coolly.
"Whatever", I huffed. "You're just an obnoxious person, intolerant to those around you who are not like you."
"Yeah well, at least I have friends who are like me. Rather than have no friends at all.", he shrugged and looked me in my eyes.
"You dont know anything about me! Do you even know who I am?", I challenged.
"No and I don't want to know. You seem way too insufferable for me to put up with.", he stated solidly.

I've never felt so irritated with anyone or anything in my life. My blood was boiling.

"Okay, well, I'm going to serve the other passengers. Try not to bite each other's heads off while I'm gone", the auburn haired woman smirked before she walked away.

"This is going to be a long flight", I mumbled.
"This may be first and last time I agree with you", the stranger said as he pulled out his iphone.
