I tossed and turned, struggling to get into a comfortable sleeping position. Giving up, I decided to watch some television. I should've realised I needed the remote before I could do anything. Just my luck, the annoying stranger sitting next to me, was sleeping soundly with his hand curled around my remote.
"Insufferable fool", I muttered, while to pry the remote out of his grip.
No matter how hard I pulled at the remote, the tighter his grip would become. Almost as if he was awake.
After growling in discontent, I glared at him. Just who on Earth does he think he is? The tall, barbie doll looking boy with hair that is clearly bleached blonde. He isn't even all that attractive, so why was he so unnecessarily uncouth?"Take a picture, the view will last longer", the stranger spoke without opening his eyes.
"You really aren't that intelligent if you think staring and glaring is the same thing", I scowled.
"Well clearly we're both stupid because not only are you harassing me unnecessarily but your remote is on the other side", he sighed.
"What?" I asked.
"Just close your mouth and look", he instructed. As I did so, there was my remote. Dangling from the side. I mentally face-palmed myself.
The stranger chuckled.
"You really aren't detail orientated, are you?", he asked shamelessly.
"Hey, don't laugh", I pouted. "It's my first time on one of these things. Also, I focus more on the big-picture. If I had to focus on every little thing, life would pass me by"
"Oh? Then how do you focus on your job at work", he inquired, while his sea-green eyes peered into my brown ones.
"I don't work", I shrugged.
"Well, I'm sure no one would want to employ you anyways, you're too disruptive", he grinned.
"As if anyone would want to employ you either, you're too argumentative", I scoffed.
"And for that reason, I studied law", he snorted.
"Yeah, I forgot. You don't need to be too intelligent to do law. You dont need mathematics for it.", I snickered.
"You claim to have actually had a tertiary form of education?", he laughed.I hate this man's guts, let alone his very existence. However, he does have a very soft laugh.
"Take this information as you may, but I studied engineering.", I shrugged.
The stranger widened his eyes.
"I'm guessing I surprised you", I grinned.
"Indeed you did. I thought engineers were detail-orientated", he grinned back.
"Oh be quiet and don't generalise", I snap.
"As you wish, Princess", he mock-saluted.
"Don't call me Princess"
"Sure thing, Stranger", he smirked. "One more thing, Stranger"
"Yes?" I asked.
"do you mind letting go of my arm, which you should've done after you found your remote?" The stranger asked seriously, while trying to keep himself from laughing.
"Oh shoot! Why didn't you tell me? I'm sorry. Goodnight.", I rambled, embarrassed.
"Right back at you, Stranger", he replied, before drifting off into a dream land of his own.
