Breakfast was a quiet affair until Aurora and Caleb made their way to breakfast.

"And damn, did I get laid!" Aurora beamed.

I coughed. Adrianus patted me on the back and then fetched me a glass of water.

"Aurora, its not really something to be proud of... you know, just loosing your virginity and then screaming it to the world", I said, hoping she wouldn't make more of a fool of herself.

"You're just jealous that I got my money's worth, 'cause damn, was he GOOD", Aurora continued to gush.

Adrianus caught my eye, I mouthed a 'thank you' before returning to my meal. He hummed in acknowledgement before finishing his own.

"So Cal, how was your night? My brother texted me to say that you were safe before we all had our fun." Caleb asked, bit too innocently.

"Well nothing happened really, we talked and walked... and I had an epiphany. Adrianus isn't a complete douche", I smiled.

"Well, I'm honored I'm not a complete douche", Adrianus rolled his eyes.

"And nothing else happened?" Ritza inquired.

Now things were starting to get a bit strange.

"Don't press her, they could just be telling us the truth", Haruto winked.

"Oh not you too?!" I groaned.

"They just don't know how to handle us not arguing every second, and us behaving like decent human beings to each other", Adrianus reasoned while putting an arm around my shoulders.

Now that was unexpected, but I liked it.

I leaned into his warmth.

"Yeah, I'm getting used to him", I stated.

"And you're getting comfortable with me too", he said with his signature smirk.

It took me a good few seconds to understand what was saying.

"You're right... you don't mind, do you?" I asked sheepishly.

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Adrianus whispered to me.

The comment made me smile.

"Well, I'm sorry to interrupt the 'flirt-fest' but can we check put now? We need to start our return drive to Italy", Aurora asked with pure innocence.

"Oh but of course, Aurora. We wouldn't like to keep everyone waiting, we will check out right now", Adrianus replied smoothly.

As we all got up ready to leave, a red-faced Caleb mumbled: "Oh shit" before dashing to his room to pack his clothes.

Adrianus and I walked out together, laughing our heads off at the rushed behavior of Caleb.

"You know Callisto, I'm pretty excited to go to Italy, I heard they have the best ice-cream", Adrianus mentioned casually.

"Yeah they do, they also have such a rich history with fascinating mythology. I can't wait to see it with my own 2 eyes! But, I've also heard that its one of the most romantic countries..." I trailed off at the last part.

Adrianus seemed to have absorbed everything I said.

"Well then, maybe you'll get lucky, with the love department, I mean..." he trailed off.

"Eh I don't think so, I'm not that forward. Besides, I'd rather spend my time with you. You're... you're something else."

Adrianus looked at me gratefully.

"Grab some ice-cream with me? And maybe roam the streets with me?" He asked sheepishly.

"I was hoping I could, I'd love to roam Rome with you", I smiled, secretly happy he asked me.

"Great, now let's get into the vehicle, and get to Italy," Adrianus said with a level of determination.

"Of course. I was excited to go to Italy before,but now I'm even more eager to go", I said.

"Well now, I didn't think I made you that excited", he said confidently, with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes. I was mildly upset, clearly I was more excited to spend time with him than he was to spend time me. That was before I heard a mumbling Adrianus saying: "You're making me unbelievably excited as well"

I looked at him and then I realized something. I realized it and I felt instantly stupid. I was beginning to fall in love with a man I've barely known of two weeks.

I'm sure as hell he wouldn't feel the same. It's stupid to fall in love with someone you barely know.
