"Mom, I'm begging you, I really don't want to wake up! I'm no longer in school, I have a degree in engineering, what more do you want?!" I scowled as my mother woke me up.
"You've become lazy Callisto. Just because you collect revenue for your invention that you made for your thesis, doesn't mean you can become a couch-potato", my mother replied icily. "Besides, you're 24 years old, live a little! Do something you would've never dreamed of doing. You've missed out on so many years of your life to study and graduate cum laude. Not that it isn't admirable, but life is more than just studying, Callisto"
"So what exactly should I do with myself?" I asked, not expecting an answer. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
"You're practically rolling in money, so I'm sure you'd survive wherever you are", my mother answered, while biting her lip.
"Alright Birth Giver, what did you plan behind my back?" I asked, getting slightly irritated at my mother's behaviour.
"I, being the wonderful mother I am, have decided to buy you a plane ticket to Germany. You leave tomorrow.", my mom replied casually, not daring to look me in the eye.
She scurried out of my room, not waiting for my reaction.
I sighed and decided to start packing an overnight bag for Germany. Tomorrow wasn't going to be fun.
