"Wake up, Miss", a lilting voice sang in my ear.
I opened my eyes and yawned.
"Well, that's a heavenly sound to wake up too", the man next to me grumbled.
"Good morning to you too", I grinned.
" I wanted to tell you both that breakfast will be served in a few minutes. In about 3 hours, we will land", the auburn haired woman from yesterday beamed.
"Oh yes, sweet freedom", the stranger whistled enthusiastically.

We both received our breakfast and ate in silence.

"So what do you plan on doing once we've landed in Germany?", the man asked me, once we were both done eating.
"Good question, I'm not entirely sure. Maybe travel around Europe now that I'm here I guess. And yourself?"
"I am going to attend a special conference for lawyers, apparently international laws have changed yet again", he replied, while rolling his eyes.

"That's unfortunate", I mumbled.
"Yeah, its a real pain", he smiled lightly.

A comfortable silence rested between us.

"Oh my goodness, Young Miss! Your hair looks horrible! Let me brush it for you!" A shriek emerged from the auburn haired lady from yesterday. Her green eyes scrutinised my hair, face and body.

"Oh dont be ridiculous", I scoff. "I always look like this"

"That will never do! How are you supposed to find yourself a job in Germany, let alone find a boyfriend", she shook her hair in disgust.

Well. Let's just say that the auburn haired lady is tough and only let me out of her grasp once my hair was brushed and detangled.

"There! All done", she said after a breath of satisfaction.

The stranger next to me was laughing uncontrollably.

"Well I'm glad we put on a good show for you. I'm now going to charge you for in air entertainment", I cackled.

"As you wish, but please don't sound like a bird trying to gargle water", the stranger said, momentarily out of breath.

I glared at him. Just when I thought he could actually be nice. I suppose all 'good' things come to an end.

I listened to music the rest of the way before we landed.

"Oh by the way", the man said. " I'm originally from South Africa. And yourself?"

"Ditto", I ghost-smiled.

Pretty soon the aeroplane landed in Germany and we were free to leave the aircraft.

"See you around", I told the stranger as I pushed past him, so I could breath fresh air.

"Sure, if fate dictates it ",he replies without looking at me.

How rude. Hopefully fate won't let me cross paths with an uncouth lawyer like him ever again. One experience is more than enough.
