Part 1

Fate is the development of events outside a person's control, regarded as predetermined by a supernatural power. There is something to be said about two people who find each other time and time again.

No matter what situations they end up in or how far apart they become, they come back to each other. Those are the people who have a little thing called fate on their side. This is a story of two people, where the world is saying "stop separating, you are meant to be together."

It was July 2018, the sun baked the streets of Istanbul, Turkey at a boiling 34 degrees. The streets were filled with tourists who were seeking the sun so to escape their winters. Languages from every civilized part of the world speaking to each other through laughter and music.

Jenna Edwards, a senior archaeologist was based at the Topkapi Palace Museum and she was in a good mood today. In the ball room of the museum, she stood in front of the display of an ancient two headed mummy which was going to be photographed and revealed to the world for the first time in more than a century. Standing there she smiled to herself. Months of negotiations with the authorities had finally paid off.

In the mirrors slightly above her, she saw the curator of the museum walking towards her. She didn't like the man but found it so satisfying to irritate him. Ufuk was a short, sweat stained shaggy looking little man that reeked like All Spice. He had a mustache that seemed as if it was dragging his face down. His eyes were snake like and it made the hairs on her arm stand up.

"Hello Ufuk, what can do for you?" she yelled without turning around and he jumped startled at the volume of her voice.

"You freak me out when you do that Jenna. How did you know it was me?" he asked puzzled and irritated.

"I can smell that shit on you a mile away. Besides I saw your reflection in the mirrors", she said pointing. She turned quickly to face him, startling him in the process. He jumped slightly and she giggled. "Oh, you a funny girl today? Here, your invitation for tonight", he handed her the invitation, turned and left. The less time he spent in her presence the better.

He knew Jenna didn't like him. Actually she showed him that she didn't like him. It bothered him more than it should and everything about Jenna irritated him. He felt that women didn't belong in the working world. "She doesn't have a husband, no children and she works. Shame on her!" he said under his breath as he walked away.

"Ufuk!" Jenna called loudly. He turned and gestured with his hand as if to say 'what?'

"You looking good today." she shouted. She folder her hand to mimic a gun, clicked her tongue so that it made a firing sound.

"One day you going to get what's coming to you!!" he screamed and it echoed.

"Not if you get yours first you little shit" she shouted back at him. She laughed to herself and made a mental note to irritate him tonight at the Gala.

As the lead Archaeologist, she had no choice but to attend the Gala evening for the revealing of the two headed mummy. At 29 years, she held two PHD's and was blessed with a photographic memory. A photographic memory that only her sister and father knew about.

The Gala would be filled with important guests all well known in their respected fields of study. Other invited guests would either be accompanying the invited party or donors to the museum. Either way, everyone attending the evening was important.

Jenna gave her final instructions to her crew and made her way to her apartment to get ready for the Gala.

Later that evening, the Dean of Ancient Studies at Brown University in the US stepped into the foyer of the Topkapi Museum and made his way to the entrance of the Ball Room. He was standing in line with the other guests fidgeting on his tuxedo when the hairs on his arms suddenly stood up.
