The funny thing about liking somebody is that you don't realize it happening, until it already did. Until you are already so deep into that sinking hole- yearning for that person a little more each day.
Because it was Odyssey's first sleepless night na hindi dahil sa pag-aaral.
Madalas naman kasi siyang napupuyat kapag lalo na exam week, o kaya kapag maraming kailangang gawin pero galing pa siya sa trabaho niya sa internet cafe.
Pero kagabi? 'Yun ang unang beses na paikot-ikot lang siya sa kama na walang ginagawa. Ang alam niya lang, masama ang pakiramdam niya. Not his health, but his feelings. Thousands of questions came running into his mind. All in connection with what he really felt for Lee.
Bata pa sila eh. She was just 13 when she decided to pursue him. He knew it wasn't for good. He knew there's a big possibility for everything in your youth to be temporary. At ilang taon lang sila ngayon? He's just 15. Why is he so bothered by the conversation he eavesdropped?
Humantong lang siya sa isang tanong. It's not the question if he likes Lee or not.
It's whether he can be okay if Lee's not there anymore...
Matagal nang nakaalis si Perci para pumasok ng school. It was also the first time that Odyssey took his time doing everything. Hindi niya alam kung puyat ba siya, pero hindi siya nagmamadali ngayon para matakasan si Lee na maagang nagaantay minsan sa labas nila. She was annoying like that. Paminsan pa, pinapapasok na talaga ni Perseus para mag-agahan sa kanila ang babae. Hindi siya madamot na tao, pero halos wala na rin naman talaga silang nakakain ng maayos ng kapatid niya because he is reserving their budget for their lunch and allowance sa school.
Ang nangyayari tuloy, kapag nakikikain si Lee sa kanila, binibigay na lang ni Perci ang share niya kay Lee. His brother is too fond of this girl. That is after what happened last year na nakatulong naman talaga ng malaki sa kanila si Lee. Kaya palaging mapagbigay si Perci sa babaeng ito. But as an older brother, he couldn't stomach Perseus giving all his share away. Kaya ang siste, binibigay niya na rin ang ibang parte niya, para may matira pa rin sa kapatid niya.
He just couldn't understand why this girl likes their simple breakfast, eh halata naman na mayaman ito. He noticed her things. Halos lahat branded. Pati na rin ang pagkilos nito. Even though she is very sunny and reckless, there's still this level of grace and elegance in her aura. Na parang bihira o baka nga hindi nito nararanasan ang totoong hirap ng buhay.
Kaya mas lalo na rin siyang nahihiya na pakainin ito ng pandesal na may mantekilya at kape. But still, this girl pushes herself a lot into his family that she didn't mind how cheap their food was. But he's a man. A prideful man, for one. And he's just annoyed that these kinds of things happens. Na baka siguro kung mas may kaya pa sila, he could've provided better food on their table. And maybe he'll also have less burden and confused feelings kung saan nga ba siya naiirita tuwing kakain doon si Lee.
