Chapter 2

We have to celebrate tonight.  At 7:00 pm, Lucy and her boyfriend Bryan joined me. Bryan was also my college friend, Lucy and Bryan are together since college. They are college sweethearts.  We three always hangout together, though sometimes I feel like a third wheel between Lucy and Bryan but they have always tried their best not to make me feel like a third wheel or make me feel uncomfortable because of them. 
Lucy and Bryan  were busy doing things with each other. And all I was thinking, they live together and still how can’t they take their hands off each other even in public. So I decided to eat my food quietly and I was lost in my own world. Then all of a sudden I saw a man approaching, he was  wearing an olive green shirt and black jeans, something tickled my brain I thought I know him but I wasn’t able to get his proper view as Bryan was making a wall between us but after getting a perfect view of him.

I gasped “Oh Shit”

“What happened” Lucy asked surprisingly.

“Look over there, I think  he is the same man   I saw in your office today.” I said pointing at him.  Lucy takes a look at him and said  “Oh Him, Mr. Sexy Pant” she winked at me.

“What??” I said throwing a piece of salad that I was eating “And what is this sexy pant”  I rolled my eyes. Though I know I was starting to feel attracted towards him, well who won't he really is a hot guy. I stared at him dreamily. I want to know his name so bad, after all who wouldn’t?

“Though he is totally your type” Bryan winked at me.

“Yeah, he is smart but why in hell would he choose me, he must have a lot of girls queued for him." But deep down I wanted to have a conversation with him, I wanted to know how his voice must sound, his smile. Oh my god I am going all gaga over him. I blushed thinking all this.

Lucy and Bryan gave me a look as they saw me blushing “why it has to be so embarrassing all the time” I murmured.

“aww look Astrid is in love with him” she teased.

“He is not my love I don’t even know him, can you guys please stop.” They both never leave a single chance to tease me but deep down I know they both love me a lot.

“I think you should make a move Ash” Bryan said raising his eyebrows at me.

“No I won’t because if I would then he would think me as a desperate girl who just wants to get laid off” I said. Though it’s been an year since my breakup with John and I haven’t even tried on any one because I was so heart broken when I had breakup with John and I don’t want to experience it again.

But there was something in him that I was finding him irresistible. How one can leave such an impact on me that I was thinking about him all the time.

After finishing my dinner with Lucy and Bryan I had to go back to my house, though I didn’t wanted to because it felt so empty after Lucy had moved out with Bryan.
Bryan dropped me at my house, I gave him a hug and walked towards my house. 
It was just a single room set with a big hall with an accented furniture and an open kitchen and everything in the house was black and white. I was sitting on a deck with a beer and was lost in my own thoughts of that charming man I was going all gaga over. And also finally I am employed and now I don’t have to depend on my parents for my living. 

I was so tired after all this hectic day. So I went to sleep.

It was 10:00 am when I heard a call from Lucy, “wake up Ash” she said with harsh voice.

“what happened, why you are in a hurry it’s Sunday and let me enjoy my sleep bye” I hang up on her. I heard my phone rang again and I knew it was Lucy “yes now what” I said in an irritated tone.

“come on Ash, it’s Sunday we have to go shopping” Lucy said in a puppy voice.

“Okay but why today we can go any other day” I was still sleepy and a little annoyed with Ash for calling me at uneven hours.

“No Ash next Sunday It would be my fifth anniversary with Bryan and I want to give him something of a value” Lucy said.

“Oh! you guys have made so long together I am so happy for you guys” I said with a big lump in my heart as I was so happy for both of them. “Okay meet me at 1:00 pm I’ll be ready by then” I said to Lucy.

“Ok great and be punctual” Lucy said as she know that I am never punctual.

“Astrid Hale is very punctual with her schedule” I said and then we both burst into laughter.

After hanging up on Lucy I took a shower and wore a purple tank top with black jeans and my hair was tied in a pony. I have been thinking about Lucy and Bryan, they have been together for a long time and how I wish to have Love like theirs one day. I sighed, the thought making me a little sad because a love like theirs is very rare to find and I am just hanging on a little bit, tiny Hope. By the time I was ready and was waiting for Lucy to come over and pick me up. I heard a car horn and I knew it was her car, I went out and stepped towards her Mercedes, I opened the car door and settled myself .

“So where are we going” I asked Lucy.

“Firstly I want to purchase myself a dress so that I can wear on my anniversary and then we will head towards a  jewelry shop”. Lucy said.
“Why jewellery shop?” I questioned.

“I want to give Bryan a Platinum Bracelet as a anniversary gift.”

“Just rich people things” I teased Lucy, though she has never showed off her wealth  and she has always helped me with finance and that’s why best friend’s are for, to save your ass.
After 2 hours of continuous shopping I was hungry and asked Lucy to take over to our spot where we always have our food, where yesterday I saw that charming man and I was still hoping to see him there.

I ordered pasta whereas Lucy ordered salad. We had a little chit chat about what special she is going to do for Bryan on her anniversary. “I am so happy for you  guys you two are gems for me “ I said. She reached my hands squeezed it gently and passed me a smile.

“There he is” I said. My eyes glittered with excitement as I saw him approaching.

“who Bryan?” Lucy asked.

“No stupid, my handsome hunk” I said blushingly. He was wearing pajama and a white T-shirt. He looked simple. His hair was disheveled and he had a dark circle around his eyes, like he hasn’t been sleeping at all. But God, he still looks beautiful.

Lucy looked towards him and gave me a look “I know he is looking so good” I chuckled. He was sitting a few tables away from me  but I won’t let him know that I am going all gaga over him.

After eating our lunch Lucy dropped me off at my house. It was 7:00 pm already and I was excited for tomorrow as it was my first day at job and I don’t want to spoil it by reaching office late. So I decided I would take some rest after this hectic day. And soon I was asleep.
